I'd like to chip in on the Reverend love.

Frank Turner was my highlight last year but the Rev was certainly high on my list. I can't have been far away from you two either.

But people weren't saying that. Certainly not as extreme as you are. Lots of people had said QOTSA on the Saturday night would be a great booking and one that would make the festival better for them. You chose to take that as them saying it would "change the whole outlook of the festival".

only based on the fact that every time it's mentioned to book a band to make the festival better it's QOTSA. There's doesn't ever seem to be mention of a different band, that's why. Hence my whole thing, and I had said that it was an exaggerated response in all fairness from the start.

The reason QOTSA get mentioned so often is that there doesn't appear to be anything that would make them unavailable and it's mind blowing that they've not been booked.

All suitable replacements for the position in my opinion. I know some of them are unavailable that weekend, but T could have booked them long ago before they were booked by other festivals. Plenty of variety in there to offer something different against Rihanna. Several have released new albums since they last played T.

Out of curiosity, does Fatboy Slim refuse to ever play TITP because he's so closely linked to Rockness? Just I can't recall him playing T off the top of my head.

Na I think chase and status will be subbing Mumfords so they will clash with whoever is on before Calvin Harris, who knows if thats how it will end up though

Only pub I've been in has been the Salutation, if it's a nice night it's also got a nice beer Garden, seemed fairly busy and the prices were fairly standard. The muirs inn looks nice but it's miles out the way.

Can't go far wrong! also got a pizza place opposite it.
