Going to stag and dagger "fest" in Glasgow tomorrow and Blindfolds, Fake Major, The Velveteen Saints and Waiting for Go are all playing it, gave them a listen they all seem worth a watch if nothing else on, need to go through the rest of the list later

Also we're at 143 acts announced already say another 18-20 for bbc introducing (unless some already announced acts are playing that) and we usually have between 175 - 185 altogether, I would say there are another 20 or so acts still to be announced for any of the top 4 stages

Babyshambles have just been announced for a German festival the weekend after T. (Thank to eFestivals for posting about that!)

With Peter's love of playing in Scotland and Geoff's love of booking Peter, I could be putting 2 and 2 together to make 5 but Babyshambles for TITP seems like a realistic booking.

I know there's not a lot of love for him on this forum but they'd be one of the bands I'd be most pleased about on the line up.

Yes i will be there, I was there last year, the year before last & the year before that. Why?

I feel the only effort thats been put into making it that bit special is the Slam tent, hats off to Soma because theres a few guest on the line up I'm wanting to see. Band wise, maybe a handful but nothing exciting. My option of course!

Some Metro poll that claimed the average age of people who go to T in The Park is 37. I was 37 last year & felt like a dinosaur half the time so no idea where they got that number from, there are older folk there as there is at every festival but the vast majority are in the 16-21 camp imo. Agree with the opinion on the line up, the main headliners aren't exciting me but plenty of other bands to see that will fill the days, best part for me is always finding some new band at T Break.

I asked because if you have been, and are going your opinion is valid, Like devilman who has paid his cash.... I've seen people on here who have never been but want to tell the rest of us how shit it is. I just wanted to know which camp you fell into.

For the record I think you are wrong, it is no where near a classic year but it isn't the worst either....although as I have said it is about more than music to me so I maybe looking at it from a different perspective....

Never in all my years have I been in the slam tent, am I missing anything??

WTF is this 37 years old thing by the way, I must've missed that. Started a new job this week so hardly been on...

looking forward to seeing waiting for go on the T Break this year, hopefully clash dependent although willing to miss someone who i like more but can see elsewhere.

i don't think it's that bad at all, i've got loads to see, i'be got no fewer than 8 acts a day i'd like to see and going based on 5 a day and thats without the T Break on the poster it's decent enough. Yes some are nothers others tastes but is that not the point? I'll be seeing Emeli Sande for instance - I don't think she's shit just not everyone's taste.

also thinking by Travis' V position, we may get:

Mumford & Sons

C&S

Emeli Sande

The Proclaimers

Texas
