It all looks like its going to be downsized this year to ensure it magically sells out. Alt J as headliners of Tuts is pretty embarrassing. You would think there would be a band of at least Academy-Arena size at that position.

Got emails on two different accounts yesterday from T trying to sell camping and VIP tickets. I've never seen that happen this close to the festival before.

Anyone think they will start discounting ticket prices to shift more tickets?

Discounted tickets won't happen this year

Mainly because legally they can't

You can't charge less for a ticket when you've already sold so many at a higher price

Bar Glasto, I'm pretty sure Alt-J are headlining a stage at every UK festival they're playing.

IMO they shouldn't be, but if its across the board you can't really criticise T for it.

Yeah I couldn't tell you exactly but I'm certain that they couldn't randomly decrease the price

Rush tickets when the went on sale last year were £60 upwards. Gig wasn't selling out so there were £35 ones for Block B and equivalent at other side became available nearer the show.

I've also seen cheaper tickets becoming available for Reading in the last two years

T will just stick any extra tickets on Viagogo for slightly cheaper.

I'm fairly sure that's the primary purpose of websites like that nowadays...

Of course they can sell tickets at discounted price, infact am certain DF did the same for the 2nd year of Connect.

SOGA doesn't have anything in it about not being able to discount items for sale, it happens all the time with goods.

I'd expect to see a lot of competitions appear in the next month.

Just watched Jools Holland and Beady Eye's new stuff sounds much better than their first album, Flick of the Finger is a cracking tune, not thinking this makes them worthy of top billing on NME (although perhaps Tuts), but if I was going to T I'd go along for a listen for sure.

Also on Jools were Deep Vally.

Well worth a listen on the Sunday at T.

These girls could be a hidden gem in the line-up.

They weren't bad, but they were trying a bit too hard to sound like The White Stripes for me. I would certainly see them on the basis of the current lineup if I was going.

ProAction 90 litre (+10) rucksack is currently half price in argos (£21.49) It's the rucksack i've used for the past 6 years and holds everything I need
