T in the Park 2013

At least they're all probably on Geoff's speed dial.

Has anyone stayed at the Travelodge in Kinross? - Just wondering if it's easy (ie Traffic wise) to get to the festival on the Friday morning as staying there just for Thursday night, and if it is going to be a nightmare what sort of time should we set off?

Also does anyone know if it's tricky to get into Kinross from there (for a couple of pints on Thurs evening) - it seems like its on a motorway so probably can't walk it!

No we shouldn't, everyone has different music tastes, struggle to see why I should pick bands I don't like so some randoms on the Internet can have a few they like.

Pretty sure I put Mumfords in to headline in the last survey, on here that will be extremely unpopular. But I like them, and thats all that matters really.

No poll ever had Snore Patrol anywhere near the top 10 so they'll never be publishing the results. Judging by the noises coming from Ellis towers in recent days there might actually be some recognition that the old guard repeat attendees they have discarded this year and last were actually quite important to the success of the festival. Change in direction again?

Also just seen the BBC Introducing Stage has been announced, I would recommend Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun. Saw him supporting Frank Turner last year and at Crooked Ways on Saturday - worth a watch.

Hi there mate I'll try give my best advice to you here haha!

I can't say I've stayed in the travelodge but I know the surrounding area pretty well and yes, you can walk from your travelodge into Kinross.Just come out for the travelodge turn left and follow the pavement, you'll see a big ass roundabout but just cross the road here http://goo.gl/maps/il2nn follow the roundabout around and exit the opposite side, again exiting here http://goo.gl/maps/n0NAz Just keep following that road man and in about 5 minutes? maybe 10 if your kinda slow you'll reach Kinross high street, no need to turn left or right, just follow that road around. You'll know it's the high street because you'll come to a three way junction, on the opposite side of the road there is a pharmacy, and on your right hand will be a co-op(for those that have been in kinross it used to be a store called "David Sands")

If I were you I'd turn right and about 100 yards down the road is a pub called the Salutation, it's got a beer garden of sorts which is cracking on a sunny day.

For going to T you should be fine. For heading into T if you are driving/getting a taxi make sure you go up through Milnathort. Probably have less traffic plus you get dropped of right outside the gate! first time I went to T I went the way the signs told me and got dropped off about a mile from the gate, was minging. Last year I went up through Kinross, up the A922 , into Milnathort before then turning left in the centre of Milnathort at the "Jolly Beggar" along the A91, got dropped off right outside the gate and took me a whole 2 minutes to get in the queue.
