daniel.k
Similar to V splits with beady eye and Calvin headlining second, courteeners subbing second stage, script subbing main. I would have gone but I couldn't. I don't see what's wrong with the line up I couldn't complain :-)
Comfy Bean
of course it can, derry is nowhere near TITP at the end of the day. A lot of extra travel needed for the rare one's that did get tickets. I just hope people look at that though and see how much stronger this years 3 are. but anyway, let's get a list based on clashfinder of what people'll see? or a highlighted clash linked in. mine is: http:///s/titp2013/?user=thewayiam&
Deeps
I chose Bruce Springsteen, Metallica and Radiohead. Bruce Springsteen purely because Geoff said he wasn't T's demographic and i felt that being a fan i needed to try prove wrong!
Deeps
Those stage splits really do show just how bad the lineup is actually. I was starting to think I might try and pick up a ticket on the cheap, but probably not worth it now.

thewayiam
Looks like I will be following you on the Sunday and hoping to catch half an hour of the stereophonics after chvrches. Think you need to get up earlier though if you are not planning on catching Earth Wind and Fire opening the main stage on Sunday....... Anyone know when the dance tents stop on the Sunday night ? kingcrawler
i'm not that fussed in EW&F, nor phonics so won't be rushing to main and i'll only watch part of editors as to catch all of churches, that said I'll have a perfectly open gap to see Editors at Glasto so may see a bit of Frank Ocean while getting some food and drink topup. Phonics will be just to pass time, seems as thou main Sunday have been given extra long sets. i'd like to know tut's sets between Foy and Palma and palma and miles. any idea's on Tranmissions Friday headliner? thewayiam
I'd imagine that band between Palma Violets and Miles Kane was meant to be Modest Mouse, so hopefully it'll be a similar band that replaces them.
Sasha Smith
One thing that struck me from the clashfinder but why would T organisers clash The Proclaimers with the next big thing to come out of Scotland, Vigo Thieves? Especially when the next slot is Haim, Everything Everything and Fidlar - none of which are inspiring, at least from my personal perspective? Gingo
Ah yeah forgot about them cause they dropped. The slam tent hasn't put done in clashfinder but i reckon all I'd see is earl if i did, not for me. I think the lineup is decent for new talent or acts so to speak. Should not be surprised frank got 3rd, at least its not a copy of foals in 3rd, but that mean't the bugger yyy's clash. That said i would be stuck with yyy's vs twin

CraigI
As I have said before, opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one and thinks everyone else's stink.... For me the Vigo thieves are shit, I wouldn't open the curtains if they were in my back garden...... Proclaimers were excellent last time they played so that is where I'll be.... The clashes this year are brutal, I was so gutted yesterday I couldn't be bothered noting them.... Can't wait for Leeds hahahahha
a_n_other
I agree on the opinions thing. Leeds, for me, is far worse line up wise than T, and I'm struggling to get over the line with buying a T ticket. All festivals this year are poor, with the exception of Lattitude in my opinion. devilman
Blimey! You're all doing a good impersonation of me! I couldn't have whinged better myself. I really hope there is weather like Rock Ness are getting this weekend or I fear for the future of the festival. The old guard are gone and the new darlings with their straightened hair and fake tans won't shell out £200+ for than once to be cold and miserable and be served up shite. The only thing you're guaranteed to expect with T is disappointment
jockthescot
Pishing down at T then cos we have had our summer this week
stu150
The thing that really bugs me is the fact they always used to go on about the "T faithful" but recently they've stopped mentioning us and they stopprd wanting to impress/accomodate us - the T faithful are now out of their "demographic" - they would rather have 70,000 young people coming for one year and dishing out an uninspiring/cheap lineup. Than shell out more money and put more thought into a lineup that could please everyone - their "demographic" used to be repeat customers (who would spend much more over the weekend) but now it's school leavers wanting to experience a festival regardless of who plays. I know I'm generalising a lot here but when catering for a potential crowd of 80,000 who doesn't? I kind of got disinterested with T after 2009 due to snow patrol and killers headlining twice in three years. Went back in 2012 as the Saturday lineup (for me) was amazing, bought presale because of my own expectations for the 20th T. I'm really let down and if the current trends continues I won't be back (unless Bowie plays).
daniel.k
I think more festivals are going more towards the masses now and pleasing the younger crowd with pop acts. I think T have a better spread of headliners than most UK fests this yeah and the undercard is good. I think maybe only Glastonbury will keep with older bands and acts as they could get anyone to headline as the tickets sell out before the headliners are announced

blue6field
It wasn't that long ago you'd get the early bird ticket so you didn't have to endure the panic of Ticket day and the potential of missing out. The last 2 years line up has at least ensured the festival isn't selling out quickly and allowing us to fully digest the bill before shelling out £200+ I'm so glad I held off this year!! a_n_other
Thats largely how I feel, and there are three of our party that no longer fit Geoff's demographic and won't be going. When it fails to sell out this year it will be blamed on the recession rather than the atrocious bookings of the past two years. After last year they let a lot of people down with the weak lineup, and its utterly unbelievable that they thought people would sit back and take more of the same - even more so in the 20th year, when it should have been going full out to be the biggest festival outwith Glastonbury. I really don't get the attitude of the people booking bands for T in that how they want to lower the age range rather than make it more accessible for people up to their 60s like Glastonbury. You would have thought after reports of trouble at T in recent years that an older crowd would reduce this.
Franz_fan14
Off topic slightly, but has anybody noticed that T-Break stage seems host quite a few of the Voice / X-Factor people this year... I thought T-Break was championing new Scottish acts? Last time I checked, Bo Bruce, Lucy Spraggan and Diana Vickers were not new or upcomming Scottish acts...
