i disagree, while a decent addition for the festival, it only makes a massive difference to you if you're interested in them.

all it would have done for me is make an easy cross off band to see and look for the alternatives on at the same time.

i have a fairly packed friday saturday and sunday - seeing a fair few i haven't yet and some in venue's that i feel are ideal to see. Twin Atlantic for eg in the tut's, at reading they are on main stage - bad mistake, i don't feel they'll hold their own on that flat form yet - and the tent atmosphere for them will be much better.

A festival for me to be worthwhile means I need to get several of the bands I'd pay to see. I've said this several times on this thread.

QOTSA might have made a difference in getting me to buy a day ticket for their day instead of what I have currently - no tickets at all.

Friday - everything everything, rudimental, of monsters and men, chase and status, mumford.

Saturday - ms mr, theme park, palma violets, daughter, miles Kane, frightened rabbit, dizzee, rihanna

Saturday - the heavy, Tom Odell, the 1975, disclosure,chvrches, foals, killers

Also. Just booked my bus ticket, why do buses start arriving at midday on the Thursday if the gates only open at 3? My bus arrives at 2.30. So I'm imagining by then the queues will be massive. Any one have any experience of arriving before gates open?

they do, i don't like them but they aren't the only 2nd stage headliners ever that people found poor. people hate it more because the alternative is rihanna and they don't like MBV. just a heads up though, when tickets went on sale and she sold the day out easily, the fest had no reason to need to put anything better opposite as they know 80k will be there

Paul could be right though, presuming weekend tickets are struggling, day tickets instead at £80 a pop is better than making no money at all.

Certainly is. Think they've been hit with charging premium prices for second tare acts this year and it's come home to bite them on the erse. Recession not helping either but it's criminal to chgarge £200 for the standard of band they have this year

This qotsa thing just keeps going. I missed them at download this weekend cos they suck compared to the rest of the line up. At t they would be my must see. When rockness and dl were the same weekend they were booked for both. Then the roses gigs were announced by df to clash and try to squeeze rn. They changed weekend and so qotsa were lost but most probably were contractually unable to play t. I reckon they will be there next year.
