T in the Park 2013

This qotsa thing just keeps going. I missed them at download this weekend cos they suck compared to the rest of the line up. At t they would be my must see. When rockness and dl were the same weekend they were booked for both. Then the roses gigs were announced by df to clash and try to squeeze rn. They changed weekend and so qotsa were lost but most probably were contractually unable to play t. I reckon they will be there next year.

It appears that you missed the fact that anything prior to 2012 is now irrelevant. This year they have a woman with nice paps that can't sing without autotune and some one trick pony folk pop tribute act headlining. Anything is possible now. Still got my fingers crossed for a U turn though.

this kind of statement annoys me.

as far back as i can be bothered looking (2002) there hasnt even been a pop act headlining. infact the closest to pop is coldplay.

this is the first year that geoff has really fecked up on the headliner front,

i'm pretty certain that qotsa would accept a sub spot on main to most T headliners.

this bit not aimed at you frankblack ...

as for bruno mars headlining ... grow some feckin brain cells, this WILL NOT HAPPEN

Yeah - thats the point I was making. If the likes of The Who headlined, I could see QOTSA accepting a sub to them but an NME headliner slot is better.

QOTSA are playing Glasto and that will make it their third appearance I think.

Glastonbury is a bit more flexible with who they book, and QOTSA are probably more accessible than the likes of Iron Maiden who will probably never get a slot there.

Here's hoping that this year is a big wake up call to Geoff Ellis and his team who have taken the fans for granted the past two years without giving value for money bookings. I think it began to dawn on them far too late when the likes of Johnny Marr got added.

After being at a proper music festival this weekend I'm now able to offer you poor T goers some advice GO SEE HACTIVIST! I have caught small bits of their set twice now and they smash it! I hope they get an up for it crowd at T as they deliver big stylee. Sort of like Enter Shikari but hungrier.

to call it a proper music festival isn't right. for one it's a heavy music festival, not multi genre so to term it as that is a bit wrong.

i have to say i don't regret my decision not to go back download this year at all. i also have maiden, papa roach and the eventual slipknot tour dates to look forward to and that's all i really wanted out of that lineup if i'm honest

All the bands played their own instruments and did real singing. It's a proper music festival. You won't be getting that at T.

Also, if you can imagine the United Kingdom being covered by a huge fat massive big red zero.....................that's the amount of fucks that people give about your feelings about attending Download or any other festival you fruitloop nutjob.

After being to download for the first time this weekend i can safely say it is the best festival iv ever been to and i cant see what any other festival could do to top it, it ticked all the boxes for me and there was actually only one thing (walk to arena) that i thought could be better and even then a 20 min walk isnt really that big a deal

Mumfords LOL! Yes they play real instruments and "sing" this can't be denied. Fact is though that they are a contrived folk tribute act that couldn't hold a candle to most of the musicians playing in folk clubs all around the country. If that is the level of headliners in the future then I won't be back. 3 years they'll be gone though.

As for being wound up, I might be if I'd have bought early birds like I have every year since you were in nappies but I haven't, I'm just trying to give a pointer to those still interested in music not pumped out from a laptop. Once you get over your teen stiffy for T you'll realise that you're paying live band prices to watch recordings. Fine if you've got the cash and don't care but there's plenty that do. I see Belladrum sold out this weekend. It seems that the recession that Mr ellis refers to doesn't exist in the North of Scotland. You know the one that most people have to travel an extra 3 hours to get to?

You could well be right, I think a total of about 70k for the weekend is realistic.

You should know that I'm hetero sexual and taken. Following me around won't get you in my favours. Enjoy Lucy Spraggan, I'm sure she's crayoned on your pencil case. If you fancy trying some proper stuff try Hactivist. I'd say fidlar and Deap Vally too but I think you'd be too scared. Enjoy your T son, you can ignore me now, any further stalking will be deemed extremely unhealthy.
