frankblack
Just on my way home from Bruce Springsteen at hampden How Geoff can claim he's not in the demographic is beyond me I was even more shocked to find that T20 flyers were being given out at it !! Chiefski
Got a few tickets eventually for the QOTSA gig, bit of a nightmare that was, the ticketmaster link they provided originally wasn't right, then they gave the correct sitting one, before finally the standing one which lasted a few minutes at most, meanwhile there was a link on ticketsoup that no one knew about! thewayiam
That also applies to TITP
Dougie94
I received a letter for my refresh package but did not receive the actual wristband, only a recepit. I am pretty sure I got the band in the letter last year but not this year, anyone know if it has changed and we have to pick it up on site this year? Also, why does T in The Park no longer have it's own forum?
Gparsfan
You should know that I'm hetero sexual and taken. Following me around won't get you in my favours. Enjoy Lucy Spraggan, I'm sure she's crayoned on your pencil case. If you fancy trying some proper stuff try Hactivist. I'd say fidlar and Deap Vally too but I think you'd be too scared. Enjoy your T son, you can ignore me now, any further stalking will be deemed extremely unhealthy.
thewayiam
Mumfords LOL! Yes they play real instruments and "sing" this can't be denied. Fact is though that they are a contrived folk tribute act that couldn't hold a candle to most of the musicians playing in folk clubs all around the country. If that is the level of headliners in the future then I won't be back. 3 years they'll be gone though. As for being wound up, I might be if I'd have bought early birds like I have every year since you were in nappies but I haven't, I'm just trying to give a pointer to those still interested in music not pumped out from a laptop. Once you get over your teen stiffy for T you'll realise that you're paying live band prices to watch recordings. Fine if you've got the cash and don't care but there's plenty that do. I see Belladrum sold out this weekend. It seems that the recession that Mr ellis refers to doesn't exist in the North of Scotland. You know the one that most people have to travel an extra 3 hours to get to? You could well be right, I think a total of about 70k for the weekend is realistic. guitarbhoy1888
I was there last night, and got into the Gold Circle. Tremendous gig. I've never seen anyone play so many requests as Bruce did last night. I can't argue with those songs either, but we did lose The River and a number of his other hits. It was fantastic to hear the likes of Its So Hard To Be A Saint In The City live. It was the complete opposite from Hyde Park last year where we couldn't get anywhere near a half-decent viewing position and watched most of the concert on the screens. As an aside I got a ticket for QOTSA at the Hydro in the O2 Presale this morning.

Dougie94
You recieve it at T. Just go up to refresh site and hand over your ticket and you'll get the wristband then. The same happened last year. The admin was fed up of arguements so got rid of it. There is another forum however.

Dougie94
What is the deal with phone charging at T? I know some friends who did it last year, is it just a case of leaving it with someone for a few hours and they charge it for you? Or is there a locker system? Just slightly cautious about leaving it with strangers.
devilman
Download had more entrances this year so yellow camp etc had really quick access and egress. I was in campervans and had a whole 3 mins to get to main stage. It was hell. Anyone that thinks the old walk at DL is longer than teh walk of death at T is in for a shock. If you're in blue or the campervan field and you want to see the first band on R1 stage then you'd better give yourself at least half an hour to get there. Mumfords are shit. I'm not saying it isn't proper music, they've just adopted a genre they had nothing to do with, sexed it up with shite haircuts and marketed themselves at little girls. If you had never heard any decent folk/pop stuff before then I suppose you could be sucked in by it but I just think it sucks. It's bland, all the same and talentless. If they turn out a decent third album I'll eat my shorts but who knows, it's possible. Check out teh waterboys, the levellers, hayseed dixie or even the Pogues. They're not public schoolboys taking the piss. There was a time when you could have seen all of them at T. Hell I'd even listen to Ade Edmundson and the Bad Shepherds ahead of them, at least they're openly taking the piss.

Ukulelelad92
As far as the TITP/ download argument goes, both are generally well respected festivals. TITP does have a poor lineup this year which has caused problems but I feel download's lineup was weak compared to previous years too. Mumford and sons are ok in my opinion, I've seen them live before and they were good (nothing more). They shouldn't be headlining major festivals though. Lor1
Whats the lord of lightning at sunset strip??? Is that too replace the bacardi/kraken/captain jacks tent???
Comfy Bean
Arcadia. Does anyone know if they only have the one rig type thingy. Looks impressive on the Glastonbury website. Or, might it be a smaller ( cheaper ) effort at T. Going to make a point of seeing it next weekend and think it could be a brilliant late night edition at T. Chiefski
Don't want to go back to Mumford and Sons arguments, but I'll stick by my stance that they'd be nowhere without Laura Marling, that and their second album, for all that it sold really doesnt merit a headline spot. I guess people can make proper judgements after sunday however.
Dougie94
there's official charging points which usually have huge queues, you leave your phone and return a couple of hours later or the lockers have 12v chargers all you need is the appropriate car charger and charge it when you want
stu150
What network are you with? Vodafone offer free charging for customers. They also have a main stage viewing platform for customers + 1 guest
