T in the Park 2013

All three are bookable for T still, all three could still take 3rd from top positions on main, along with a nme headline spot, despite the poor last year or so it's still the same fest that put The Strokes second from top on the second stage and MCR half way through the day. I don't think it would matter to Paramore and QOTSA as much if they were 3rd or so down though Leto might be another story.

30 STM won't take 3rd mate I doubt. When R&L have given them sub, Download and probably IOW I would guess next year, they have no reason to.

Yup, subbing to either KOL or Biffy Clyro would work I reckon, although I feel it may need to be the former, being the latter may not make it seem strong enough, though that hasn't stopped them this year. it'd be stronger than The Vaccines into Biffy I guess

really thought, most bands are technically bookable for many places, just depends what the booker thinks.

i think for next year with facebook, on here and twitter shouting out for the arctics at R&L is was a safe bet but I'll admit for a while I just didn't see it.

I must admit its going to be quite interesting where titp goes, it started(mid 90s) when guitar music started to go main stream again with the hype of brit pop bands and then the likes of green day, foos, muse and the likes coming through. Its probably the first time since it started that they have had this problem.

Now with the guitar bands not coming through like they were(ticket sellers), which direction will they go?

Think they blew what was left of their budget on the flyers at Glasgow Green last week !! Does anyone think they will start to quietly offer discounted tickets ? I got an email for half price Isle of Wight tickets about a week before and also for one in London. Canny remember which one but there was no camping. Caused a bit of a stir with the punters on efest who had paid full whack. Understandably. Suppose it will depend on exactly how many tickets T have sold this year and how desperate they are. I take it it`s still on BBC ?

Good point. IF........ T are going to turn things round then I would expect an earlier than normal announcement for next year to signal intent and get everybody ( back ) on board. Arcade Fire would do me.

Anybody got news / guesses on who will be on Arcadia ?

They would have to announce all three headliners to sell any early bird tickets to convince those of us let down by the awful lineup of the past two years.

This year is a compound result of the people who were stung buying early birds last year waiting to see what lineup was announced for 2013. When it was much the same, the old regulars just walked away.

Arcade Fire will be one of 2014's most bookable acts. Radiohead are overdue playing the UK, but whether they would come to T is debatable. The big question is will Geoff change his mind on bands that are "not the demographic" for T? If so, maybe the likes of Pearl Jam could be considered.

probably although they've jumped up to manchester cricket ground and and something similar before and sold no bother. Me personally at this moment I think T is likely too and R&L may need to allow it so to get them but it's 9hrs away from T or something like that - not that big a deal. I T do get them, I expect a certain 3 to be announced anytime around october

I'm thinking even bigger, your Wembleys, Hampdens etc, if they give Glastonbury a good go and the album sells well then I can see them looking to do it, and they are still at a level where even casual fans would flock to it. If they don't then I wouldnt be surprised to see them at T and R/L, there is going to be years where they both have the same headliner.

To be honest, part of me thinks the best thing T could do year is to have a 'safe' year, book the expected, Biffy, KOL, Arctic Monkeys or Muse and then have a decent range of acts under this, it reads as a bit boring, but people buy into that lot, and the only argument for them usually is that they are too frequent but by then it will be atleast 3 years since any of them last played

For me if T don't get Daft Punk next year it looks to have Arctics KOL and Biffy all over. You just can't see Biffy and KOL not getting added, although do T want Biffy if they didn't even ask them this year? If Biffy didn't play I see Muse - I don't see any other really than 3 out of the latter 4. I won't but if I loved closer I'd buy into it more than I would AF, Bruce or something.

See you say about Arctic casual fans but I am one now and a few of my mates are and they wouldn't spend £60 to go see Arctics at Wembley - they would however like me go to a fest they like where they are a do it.

Arctics if headlining R&L next year will sell day tickets out - I'm almost sure of that, I could then see Wembley, if it's the other way round I don't think R&L would still go for them. I think they'll chuck everything to get them and Mumford even if it means they have QOTSA as a 3rd. But The Prodigy are the strongest sub they could go for and it wouldn't look right them under Queens or Mumford

The Biffy one is a weird one, its known they want to play, but I don't think T wanted them anything other than headlining now, which wouldnt have happened with the Leeds/Reading contract... that or they are annoyed that they made Rockness their first scottish headline show lol. Think its definately out of those 4, and in the grand scheme of things it'll sell well, like the odd person I'd love a Radiohead or a Springsteen thrown in there, but in the grand scheme of things there if they can even out a standard headliner with a decent undercard it's all good (which is mainly why i've not gone fully this year and last, despite being just down the road)

With a potential AM stadium show, I think £50 maximum would be their price, and I think knowning their connections they would have a decent support lined up (anyone from QOTSA, Miles Kane, Vaccines, Dizzee) which would make it worth it, all depends on them for that though, if The Killers can do it, they certainly can imo. If they dont go that way though I'd say they are a stick on for R/L, though I cant see them having Mumford and Sons, who will either be done touring the album or finish of at V.

:) Much as I would buy my ticket immediately and it would likely sell out, it would be with the wrong people and I can never see it happening

. I'm still buzzing about that set, it was absolutely incredible. I have never seen anything even close to being like it. We can but dream
