dude, you don't have to have got to T, look at the lineups. I don't think AF would have enough well known songs in the mainstream for T to take the chance. R&L took the chance and they got fuck all crowd and they are more likely to know them.

I don't see why people think Muse will be playing the UK at all next year. On their last album cycle, the only UK gigs they did two years after release were R&L, and they weren't Resistance tour gigs, they were for the anniversary of Origin of Symmetry.

We didn't appreciate how stunning a line up it was in 2011 until we look back at it compared to the pish of the last two years....

The total disdain GE has treated "the T family" is nothing short of sickening. The regulars who always bought early bird tickets have been totally marginalised and constantly looking for positives, trying to justify our blind purchases.

Making it a two day festival is NOT the answer, booking decent fucking bands is what needs to be done. I have a feeling this year is going to be flat as fuck. I hope I am wrong, but I have the feeling this is my last T.

this is the thing. at Glasto it's a much more diverse crowd though, many older people go too that have probably been going for years and get it.

he's not a reading act at all I don't think.

I'd love that too. That's the thing, Nick Cave/NIN are the more Reading than Leeds if you like but like last time they did, this time they'll probably pull a small crowd too.

Nick Cave is very much your bestival/maybe latitude crowd person I'd say?

And I think he has a cult fan base so his tours sell well.

Putting them on the Biffy day wasn't a good move for me either. I actually think putting NIN below Green Day and SOAD below Biffy would've made a big difference although I doubt SOAD would have accepted that. That's the one thing I'm pissed about that SOAD probably won't lead onto a uk arena tour after as it's pretty much been said in not so many words that Serj is doing it for the money, afterwards he's not really fussed.

And the fact that you have SOAD on a uk exclusive which may well be the last time Serj plays with them still hasn't managed to fly tickets out for R&L.
