I have to say that at first look the line-up is poor but just like last year I have taken the opportunity to listen to bands I didn't really like(Including Mumford and Alt-J) and list to bands I had never heard of. The outcome is a weekend full of clashes and hardly any time to relax. I see why people say the line-up is poor and it certainly is lacking big names. Apart from the Arctic Monkeys who played 2 years ago and the Stones (Who didn't impress me) the line up to the biggest UK festival is very similar. I don't think the line-up could be that much better this year. T have booked most of what is good and available.

Here are the artists I want to see –

The Killers, Jake Bugg, alt-J, Mumford & Sons, The Courteeners, Stereophonics, Beady Eye, Everything Everything, Frightened Rabbit, Palma Violets, Tribes, Bastille, Peace, Foals, Frank Turner, British Sea Power, The Fratellis, Editors, Miles Kane, Ocean Colour Scene, Two Door Cinema Club, Phoenix, Travis, Imagine Dragons, Of Monsters and Men, The Lumineers, Villagers, The Virginmarys, Twin Atlantic, Johnny Marr, Mallory Knox, Vigo Thieves, The Velveteen Saints, Theme Park, FIDLAR ,Tom Odell, Deap Vally, Chvrches, Deacon Blue, Kodaline, Noah and the Whale, Hurts, The Merrylees, Yeah Yeah Yeahs

I can’t wait!

Expected your name to pop up :P

The laddie and 4 of his pals are wanting to go up on the friday,do you think they should buy them now off ticketmaster at £80 or chance there luck outside to get them cheaper?

If it was saturday i would tell him to wait but i really dont know whats the script with people selling tickets on the friday, there doesnt seem to be alot going around on ebay or gumtree.

Not sure on the rules as I've not been on here for a few years but I have a Sunday ticket I need to sell before Friday as I'm away on holiday. Just looking to get back what I paid for it with booking fees etc, which was £95, can meet central edinburgh or can put in post. If interested pm me.

If I have broken any rules moderators, apologies!

haha can't argue with myself on here while at Glasto - I see you were at just ANOTHER beach in europe instead?! ;)

That's not bad for you to be honest haha. I think the feeding you shite comment is definitely down to individuality, I don't think you're the only one who think's that way but other feel different.

I agree with you on the money side, no it's not worth, whether I like the lineup or not how much it is, but no lineup this year is. Even for Glasto - lineup wise, it's not worth £225, but you're not just judging that based on lineup. And yes they had The Stones but I saw everything that makes it so much more unique. The atmosphere in the west holts field on wed afternoon was enough to know you're in a special place. Easily the best fest out there but the pyramid is a tad annoying sometimes. I have no sound issue's myself to report though. Really enjoyed and had a buzz in the circus fields this year, and seeing the random hidden things that were this years idea so glad of that. Made it up that big town in the park at night too and the views are mind blowing.

I've only been to T in the Park and really want to go to Glasto next year but friends are put off by the distance(from Newcastle) and the sheer amount of traffic and people. Is it all worth it?

I have to disagree about the value for money arugment. Compared to Europe it is more expensive but thats a different market. If you see 15 bands over the weekend that's only £15 a ticket. I think thats good value.

I saw them opening King Tuts on the Saturday last year - thought they were okay but quite chilled (only stayed for one or two songs though) never really saw them as a festival band.

Quite a climb up the lineup - opening the stage to closing it in a year!
