Chiefski
Highlights on... Now I dont mind the odd rap act, but found Kendrick Lemar a bit tragic, didnt suit mainstage at all

guitarbhoy1888
yeah them headlining nme against rhiana could potentially have made me get a ticket ... sounds a bit drastic but one reason i didnt buy a ticket is because i didnt have a saturday headliner

guitarbhoy1888
i think its a good lineup minus the headliners and even the headliners are high callibre, just not T my problem is that anyone who i find interesting i've seen already (i go to alot of gigs) hopefully geoff gets the finger out next year imagine he goes with the one glasto headliner again and choses elbow over fleetwood mac, reckon that'd be the start of the dirt going onto of the coffin after the final nail this year

Chiefski
Elbow wont headline T, just not commercial enough. From the glasto rumours I cant see any of them headlining T next year really, think mosts peoples thought of Biffy, KOL and another (Gaga?) Yeah I think I'm getting to that point too, quite a few acts I'd like to see, but its mostly ones that I've seen before, think from the acts there that I would be interested in seeing that I havent before its only Kraftwerk, Foals, Of monsters and men, lumineers, HAIM, Deap Valley and Rudimental, all apart from Kraftwerk are more than likely to be back around. Still stand by that Rihanna is the biggest of the headliners this year, and I probably would have seen her, but thats more down to who shes against. Didnt consider Mumford a headliner after Glastonbury, still dont watching this now.
Chiefski
Is it just me or have they cut down on the amount of available highlights that can be viewed? usually have a second stage option. You know what this Mumford set reminds me of almost, Kasabian v Snow Patrol in 07, though SP arguably had more numbers to their name
guitarbhoy1888
i really do like mumfords and their music, just not a festival headliner in my eyes though ...
guitarbhoy1888
and yeah, i'm sure you could live view main, nme, tuts and intro last year as long as the band didnt dispute it (stone roses)

devilman
Not watched any highlights yet, been in the garden with a fire bucket, real ale and proper music (old man's ). The facebook pics i've seen today though make it look empty. Any one that has been more than just last year able to tell us what the attendance is like? devilman
As we were leaving last night, coming out of Kraftwerk (tragically only about 1/3 full at best)

Deeps
That is so so sad. That is where all the regulars who are not attending this year would have been. But if GE targets a nedfest as his demographic and then puts on acts that none of them will know then that's what's going to happen. Even so I thought that it would be rammed in there as the 3D show has had so much hype.
blue6field
really surprised the tent was only a third full for Kraftwerk, one of the few bands I would have made a point of seeing
daniel.k
Was the 3D show as good as expected?
frankblack
Was having beers in town in Edinburgh with another former T regular who isn't there this year. Got home and turned on the "highlights" and all you can see is empty space. I watched the news yesterday with Geoff saying that the reason it didn't sell out this year was due to last year's bad weather and the recession. Anyone I know realises that booking a ticket for a festival or outdoor gig in the UK is a gamble on the weather. Not one person I've spoken to that isn't going used that as a reason. He also said that his core audience was 20-25 year olds but hoped to cater for the regular punters. I have seen zero evidence of this on this year's lineup. Can't see me returning to T if this is the way its going to continue.

frankblack
While I don't disagree with the above, was the Friday not traditionally the quietest day because a lot of punters only turn up on the Saturday? Watching T on bbc3 now and it still looks pretty busy. 2010 was my last year there. Felt even then the lineup was on the decline, went to Wickerman in 2011 and enjoyed it as it was different to T.
