Anyone else see Palma Violets?

they were absolutely brilliant in the tent, after a few more albums they will be definitely be able to play much higher up the bill.

Phoenix were also great within tuts, though the crowd was relatively small, it seemed to be full of fans of the band rather than a festival crowd going to see them to pass time.

Had a brilliant weekend - it was def the weather that made it for me though. As others have said I think it was a washout again I think ticket sales would really struggle next year.

Kraftwerk were brilliant but I was quite embarrassed by the size of the crowd - they play about once every ten years in Scotland so I really thought they would have a better crowd - I actually thought that we wouldn't get in as I expected it to be mobbed.

I think im sitting next year out - I really struggled this year only took one pair of trainers and they just weren't practicle at all - my feet are in agony. Also my sister is getting married on the Friday of T so I had to promise I wouldn't go - if there was an amazing act/day then I would consider a day ticket but it'll all be lineup dependant.

Couple of things I did notice was the sheer amount of really young folk who were totally bleezing & lost. We had a 17 year old hanging about with us for a lot of the Friday night cus he was too pissed to remember where he was camped and had left his phone in his tent so couldn't call his mates - not that we minded having him with us - but we weren't there to babysit folk. Maybe that's just me getting old though!

Another thing - I noticed a fair bit of moshing at the most random acts, I don't get this at all - I mean I expect to see it at an act like RATM or the Prodigy but not at David Guetta....maybe this is me again just being old.

Also found it rather humorous that the majority of people chanting "whoomp (there it is)" probably weren't even old enough to remember the song - pretty sure most of them were saying "Boom there it is" too! That really started to get on my nerves come the end of Sunday.

All in all, brilliant time, amazing weather, weak lineup, decided I'm too old for T. Will def do a day ticket at some point in the future but I am so past camping and only being able to sleep for two hours a night due to the noise and the temperature!

Anyone got any ideas what sort of surprise we're getting? Will it just be money off a ticket or will it be an amazing act for next year?

Watching highlights and cant believe how young the crowd look this year. Was like watching T4 on the beach.Still gutted i missed the weekend.C+S,Calvin Harris and The Killers looked brilliant.

I wonder what the treat will be this week? The Prodigy been announced would suit me.

Looking at the highlights and reading some of the comments on here its becoming clear 2 of the biggest acts of the weekend were Guetta and Harris. While this kind of justifies them being booked repeatedly their EDM sound has a limited shelf life which I cant see lasting. When it does become old news where will the promoters turn? They have clearly alienated a large number of their core fans and tried to replace them, will they turn back to them and go down the indie route or look to jump on the next bandwagon? I think T could be at a bit of a cross roads.

Had an absolutely brilliant weekend nearly every act I saw were fantastic! Miles Kane was electric, twin Atlantic were unbelievable ( crash land was predictably incredible) and the killers ended it all perfectly with a superb set!

Someone mentioned the random moshing a few posts back, I'll agree with that. It was strange it see such a ridiculous amount of moshing to the proclaimers, on Saturday there was a mosh pit beside the main stage Portoloos when there was no music on...

Can't say I understand this "T virgin" nonsense, how would you even possibly recognise one?

Just got back now and have to say I had a cracking weekend but that was down to the weather rather than the music. Was left stood around at times wishing I'd have had a decent headliner to watch.

Friday was very enjoyable imagine dragons, jake bug, courteeners and Calvin Harris were all very good. Cracking atmosphere to boot as well.

Saturday was ok at best until the headliners which were awful. Palma violets, miles Kane and the show of the weekend from travis were my highlights. Went to see Beady eye for half an hour before I got bored and went to Arcadia, the crowd for them was laughable I actually felt sorry for them. As someone else mentioned the crowd for the view wasn't very pleasant, full of chavs smashing into everyone in every direction.

Sunday was very good, earth wind and fire, ocs, Bastille, editors, stereophonics and killers all smashing it. The crowd for Sunday seemed massive, people everywhere. Killers set was a cracking way to end the weekend but wasn't impressed with the group of 16 year olds next to us who couldn't handle their booze trying to cause trouble.

All in all very good weekend but won't be back unless they sort the line up out, the weather saved it this year.

Had a brilliant weekend.

Weather, calvin, snoop, proclaimers, jake bugg, bastille, ocs, deacon blue and of courae the killers all nailing it.

Steros were great for the big hits, too much new stuff for me for a festival like that.

Walked away from everything everything... awful. Disappointed to not get into travis after snoop as planned, but that was a horrible decisio. To put them in there as we all predicted. Texas were not as good as i had hoped.

Rihanna, well if the wife hadnt of been there i would have walked after half an hour. The random guitar solos with her off stage that went on for minutes seemex a pointless pain. We foind love pulled it out of the fire for her though and i enjoyed the set after that actually.

Healthy t...tried lotsof different things and wish i could eat thefe every day for the rest of my life. Buffalo burgers yay.

Chase and status i walked past on my way for dinner...as i did last year..as last year i just dont get it. Must be my age. I ALMOST went with the dad comment about "noise". Lol.

Arcadia was good although the wife is normally done in aftet the headliner so no real use to me. We seen lords lof lightning last night and it was great.

The crowd, i didnt think was that bad. Imagine glasgow afternoon at 6 oclock on a sunny saturday. So i'd let them off for it.

Jobsworth feckin stewards though....wtf..

Kolo, yaya, kolo, yaya, kolo, yaya toure. Was tbis one group i kept crossing paths with or is this a new thing with the kids??

Had some great times with the mates, some i havebt seen for years.

Overall, outstanding fun, 9 ouf of ten and some more sensible placing and a better headliner here and there would have made it a ten.

This was my first T, and I had a belter of a time. 90% of the people I met were really friendly and were up for a laugh, which really enhanced my weekend along with the sunshine.

Despite the ridiculous placings (Travis in Tuts, Beady Eye headlining Radio 1), I felt the line up did deliver and I was occupied throughout the weekend. The Killers, Peace and Phoenix were my highlights, who all smashed their sets.

I can't say I felt it was as empty as people are making it out to be, in my eyes it was full of people. However, the majority were teens who are following school leavers tradition, and that showed in Kraftwerk's attendance (They were incredible).

Agree with the comment about the stewards. Absolute jobs worths.

Didn't bother checking tickets to get in the arena all they cared about was patting you down in case you had any bevy on you. At times it was what you'd expect at an airport as opposed to a festival, seen several people arrested/thrown out just for getting caught with something at the gate to the arena.

Another thing worth noting though is the campsite seemed a lot quieter than normal, the green and yellow areas where particularly thin on tents.
