To be fair, it's not very difficult to remember who headlined T over the last ten years. Same shite different year :-)

So typical of T if they book KOL. Surely next year they could try something different. You just know they'll be announced in a blaze of glory in the next week or so.

I think I'm at the point with T that I'd be more concerned about a solid overall card, for every other year that your get a Killers/Snow Patrol/KOL/Killers etc your going to get a year where they pull out a RATM, The Who, Eminem etc, won't not be disappointed if its a case where its a headliner from as little as two years ago (looking at you Kasabian), but by the time next summer comes around it would have been 4 years since The Killers/KOLs last appearance, which for a festival that books like T does, isn't that bad.

Hmm I would disagree last year they did well to get the Foos, sure Arctic Monkeys and Coldplay were about but they hadnt played in a while, same for 2010 Eminem was a massive change and it was one of the first festivals (note: not THE first) to get Muse and Kasabian

They may have done well to get the foos, but it was hardly inspired IMO. To be fair, I think there are only so many acts that they can get to fill the slot and the foos spring to mind. On a side note, one of the worst moments I have ever witnessed was Geoff trying to flog tickets as the fireworks were going off.

The only newish band that has took the step up to be a headliner and is worthy of it imo are Biffy Clyro, the rest either have a bit of work to do or have reached their full potential,

Biffy is a good bet. They have played T over 10 times, big sellers and great live. They are a given for me.

I do think T could take a chance on headliners, especially on the Friday. Tbh, if t put mumfords on as headliner, then they become a headliner. Some people might not like it but the same was done with arctics in 2007. As you have said, kasabian as well. To me the Friday headliner could be the leg up they need.

If they are any good, they will return in 2015 and 2018.

nothing wrong with that previous post at all dude. Dunno what your issue is. Everyone has in mind about who will play, I can't think of anyone on here that doesn't believe that Biffy if they don't sub will headline next year and I'd say if you're not thinking now that KOL and GD are likely to play T, then something ain't right. T and R&L share bands, if R&L got GD to play a secret set this year, they could easily have a pre-agreement.
