Mumford & Sons could headline T and R&L. And to be honest, I'd say Pearl Jam and Sabbath are both extremely unlikely. Pearl Jam for Sonisphere if anywhere, R&L the only other possibility I'd say.

And yeah, Muse's stadium tour will supposedly be announced tomorrow, so a Scottish date will rule them out I assume.

My brother also told me that it was supposedly being announced tomorrow. I think he got that from someone on the Muse boards, so there's a few people saying it. I just can't wait to get a ticket!

i agree they are but it happened with ratm. it's something unexpected. i don't even think kol heading glasto as well as t and v is out of question. t n iow have shared a lot, but kol are not at iow n nor are gd.

mumford are a gd shout to be fair, arena tour sold easily and over by end of this year, freeing up option for big fest slots. what'd be most likely? t n r&l head slots, glasto sub?

I suppose it could happen, but I think they're moving further away from booking those types of acts.

With Mumfords, would R&L's exclusive tag rule them out of subbing Glasto? I could see them just playing T and R&L if that was the only way for them to get headline slots.

I still think that if ppl can suggest pj then sabbath should not be ruled out. strongish rumor for r&l n often share a band. kol sr for t n rumored for v too. if GD play then other show is stadium.

As I said I'd love to see PJ but extremely doubt it will happen. Soundgarden would be great to see again also.

I'd love to see At The Drive-In play T (the Mars Volta have played a few times) but don't think T is going to book that type of band.

Black Sabbath would be fantastic but again I don't think DF Concerts have the contact details for them like they do for "house bands" like KOL, Snow Patrol, Kasabian, Killers, ...

A lot depends on whether T has learned its lesson from last year when they said Bruce Springsteen wasn't their demographic. He sold out all his dates pretty much instantly and T allegedly sold out just before the event.

If T have learned their lesson then perhaps Fleetwood Mac could be a possibility as I wouldn't bet against them for Glasto, and T has shared acts with it.

T can share acts with IOW, Glasto, Hard Rock Calling/Wireless and Sonisphere which are on within weeks of each other. I've never really seen T share any with Download.

Reading/Leeds, and V are in mid-late August, which is a different touring cycle and tends not to share too many overseas acts with the June/July festivals.

don't think so as glasto is sold without it being known who they have and they also wouldn't get the full headline show. that's the thing, if it's exclusive headline set, you'll only get the hr n half show we'll say at there whereas at glasto, probs between 50 mins and an hour. I think it comes to if they want to play iow too in which case i see all round sub next year but with having sold out there big arena tour easily and comfortable i'd say 3 big televised headline slots is a good shout. R&L and T could also book them fairly cheap i'd suspect and get a better undercard.

At the moment I'm feeling totally uninterested and a bit let down already despite no bands having been announced I dont know if it just the weaker lineup last year or the rumours flying about but when i'm usually really up for hearing what they have to announce I just cant seem to get excited

Perhaps, the lack of hype will help if they end up announcing a few awesome surprises and it will make me excited again

Just occurred to me the rumoured headliners we have on the lineup page are an exact repeat of 2009.

I too would love At the Drive-In to play. Don't see it happening though.

Really got low expectations for the announcement we will get before December now and I expect we might get it next week or the week after that so T have enough time to milk the announcement

If they announce anyone other than KOL as the pre-christmas sale announcment, even The Killers, Biffy etc. I will be extremely surprised i'm almost certain that KOL will be the first announcement although I really hope i'm wrong as its so predictable

Apparently Editors are making a festival announcement tomorrow. Maybe it'll be for T. I know they've headlined a few European festivals, and will in 2013, do folk reckon they could make the jump up in the UK? I love Editors, but I'm not sure they're headline material. A good sub-headliner perhaps.

Maybe in the Two Door cinema club position or the vaccines position from last year maybe though if they announce that they will be at T it might make them announce a headliner

Last time they played they were 3rd from top on the main, so TDCC/Vaccines position sounds about right, perhaps slightly higher depending on how Editors' next album does.

EDIT: That said, Editors could probably headline Rockness. If the new album continues in the same vein as 'In This Light And On This Evening' then it make a nice cross over between the rock/dance fans Rockness caters for.

Love how every band mentioned has been guessed at playing rockness instead, not good signs for T

Saying that rockness will need an outstanding lineup to persuade the people who were planning on seeing the roses that weekend

3 years since last time and a new album out(even if it is crap)

just hope they wont be headlining a stage :/
