As i keep saying to devilman, the only thing that's going on here is the passage of time, and how that effects your own place in things. You have been wanting the festival to grow old along with you, when nothing about what it's ever done has suggested that it would do. It's always been a festival based around the current music scene, and the current music scene is not now your scene.

thumbsu.gif Ha ha Neil, I quite like that and it's probably nail on the head. That said, Scotland has a population around 5 million and T holds 85000 ish. Almost all the punters are Scottish so that's a fair percentage of the adult population they are trying to attract. Think my point is that if they stick to fairly limited demographic they aren't doing themselves any favours. Doesn't matter if your crowd is 16 or 60 their money still smells the same.

I would certainly be offering as diverse a line up I could in the hope that I offer something for as wide a range as possible.

Failing that, I'll go and get a brace fitted and buy a leavers 13 hoodie and try to blend in.

The money might smell the same, but its future potential is not the same.

It will always be the case at these things that any young customer is much more likely to be a repeat customer in future years than any oldie.

I'd say that the line-up became far more diverse last year, when a lot of the indie landfill which it had year after year was lost and replaced by the new genres that you hate.

I'd say that extra musical diversity makes it more appealing to scotland's limited population than a festival that is chock full of mostly indie landfill and which appeals to a narrow-ish band of people.

I think we should just wait this out right now. There are good acts that have been announced today. And Rihanna and Mumford and Sons are strong bookings for demand, however I don't think they are worthy enough to headling T20 which the best of the best should have been brought out for this event. Rihanna and mumford would definatley be strong sub headliners but there are other acts who have had longer careers which would definatley help to boost the strength of T20, fingers crossed for a living legend to be announced or even something strong like the black keys please geoff lets not have a repeat because there is still potential!
