Peter Broderick

This could be a short lived thread, but.....

I have just noticed Peter Broderick's name amongst the artists on the main web page. Looking through the news and forum topics, I can't see his name released anywhere.

Am I being dumb or have they snuck this in without telling anyone? Either way, quite cool?

Polite responses only please, especially if they indicate that I may be delusional!

I am pleased with this on 2 counts.

1. This is a great addition to an already great line up - the undercard is superb IMO.

and

2. You have very kindly all proven that I am not going mad and made a public fool of myself.

I hope it is not a Thursday night addition. In the last 2 years the Thursday nighters were not announced this early or on the main line up. I think?

If it is true...brilliant!

I saw him in 2010 in a small venue in Reading (21 South Street anyone?!) when he was touring his "How They Are" album and it was mesmerising. He is ultra-multi-talented even using a saw and bow at one stage. At one point he came to the back of the audience (near the tiny bar) and sang a cappela...it was stunning. One of my "highlight gigs" as I was with good friends, I was nicely tipsy, it was a really intimate gig and he exceeded expectations.

I hope 'tis true people...I really do :prankster:

Bump!

Ironically, EOTR's only no-show was my main 'discovery' thanks to pre-EOTR spotify homework. Interesting to observe quite a few disappointed fans around. The cult following is emerging. I hope he'll turn up at NDH or EOTR next year as he seems such a good match for this kind of festival. Peter's latest album 'http://www.itstartshear.com' is one of my favourites of the year so far.

Interesting to reread this thread, he was in the brochure and on the listings posted on site....but funny how a replacement band was already there to go on stage. It would have been good to be told what was going on instead of having to listen to rumours that he was not going to show whilst standing patiently for one of our must sees, I could have gone to see Alessi instead :(
