If I had my way there would be a stall selling salads and lots of cheese. I often find that the food stalls are mostly high carbohydrate based foods. Last year I did manage to get a fairly decent ploughmans though. Didn't pieminster miss EoTR last year too??? My little friend loved the fudge stall last year, which I remember got robbed on the saturday night. What kind of person steals f*****ng fudge???

On the menu at pp palace

Patti on Toast

Tendersteaks

Piggy Sue Sausages

Burgers provided by Horse Thief ( I swear they might be a bit chewy)

Allsorts Shakes providing the drinks

The best checkout is No 9, great cashier!!

yes, me. and yes it was and i shall be there again this year assuing the same location.

its right at the end of the site, past the pagoda tower. there is lane you cross (which goes into staff camping) then a field on its own.

upsides:

- did exactly what it said on the tin

- spacious

- nice outlook

downsides

- facilities just water point and toliet block

- longer walk from the stages, camp shop etc

- not all the field is level

Quite big changes from the one I found then! I guess the camping is still underneath and to the right but I'll be looking for the happy campers flag :-)

It's nice to have a vague idea where stuff is when you get there (I think the posters on that old thread guessed that the Woods stage would be top right).

First time at EOTR and not arriving till after dark on Thursday night/ Friday morning. Could really do with some guidance/advice as to where to camp and how to get to the right camping area from the car park?? Is it just one entrance to the campsites or multiple entrances like Glastonbury?? Not looking for quiet/family camping! Somewhere with a bit of after-dak life to it! Can anyone assist??

Yeah, if you want a lively area later on it's best to head to the woods dance stage, or the late night bands in the Tipi, or just wander round the festival site and see what's happening. The campsites tend to be pretty quiet later on (thankfully, for those of us who are older or have to get up early on Monday to go to work.. :)).

that map is generally about still right, comedy has moved again this year I saw in a post somewhere earlier in the year so who knows where it will be. The whole area in the west of the festival site (i.e. the bit at the top) is always busy late after the bands have finished, there is a dancefloor down there and stuff. Also where it says 'fire' on the map there is now another stage there, a couple of bars and a sort of meeting place that always gets busy late at night.

You now enter from the car park just to the right of where the woods stage has been marked geofelgie's map, family camping is right there. The more lively camping is near to the festival site just off the eastern edge of the map, but as people have said the campsite itself is fairly quiet at night. The whole site is small so it isn't really worth partying at the tents, you may as well hang out inside the festival site (you can take drink in there as well).

Finally you will have to get the before 10 or so on the thursday or after dawn on friday, they will actually turn you away if not you can't blag your way in
