kaosmark2
Title's pretty self-explanatory really, does anyone know of any pubs to watch football in near Reading festival? I'm looking to dip out between The Shins and Mastodon to watch the Chelski-Newc match. Anyone got a suggestion as to where to go? Preferably a place that does food as well but I could cope without. Spider43
The Crown in Caversham is probably your best bet. Normally do standard pub food as well.. Just on the other side of Caversham bridge.

jackarmy
What about Sawdy's Sports Bar on Caversham Bridge? Was hoping to find somewhere on the Saturday morning to watch the Swansea v West Ham game! Edit: On closer investigation, that appears to have closed down as well! gooner1990
Well I usually go to the Crown for Arsenal's games, and was hoping to do the same again for our game away at Stoke on Sunday...looks like I'll have to venture into Reading town centre! Is there nowhere in caversham open that shows football?
mrtourette
Not sure. The Clifton Arms shows football but is very small and usually full of regulars. The Baron Of Cadogan (Wetherspoons) and The Prince Of Wales are ont he same road in Caversham but no idea if they show football.

kaosmark2
jackarmy's said that Sawdy's has closed. Spoons don't usually have sky+espn, they tend to only show England qualifiers.
