That was definitely one of the best readings I've been to. We camped in brown and most of the people around us were mid 20s so the atmosphere was very chilled. No worries about tent burning on the Sunday! Organisation was great, weather was lovely and I was pleasantly surprised about how smoothly the breakfast bap distribution went. Some great bands too, I don't think I saw anyone that I thought was crap. Roll on next year!

Best Reading since...?

Definitely beats 2009 and 2011 for me (although I was only there for Friday in 2011). 2008 was good, although I may be looking back on it through rose-tinted glasses as that was my first festival ever and I'm not sure if this one was better or not. Not really sure how it compares to 2010 either - 2010 had a better line-up for me, but this year had a better atmosphere and better performances.

I've knocked their live show a fair bit (granted it was through videos in YouTube and TV) but after being there for the whole set at Leeds, I can say that they are a fantastic live band. Very very enjoyable show and more than worthy headliners imo. It was actual my favourite gig I've been to tbh, brilliant atmospher. Can't rate it highly enough.

I had another great festival but one thing they need to improve on is the number of ladies toilets close to the mainstage. I was with my girlfriend and the ques were huge and it was usually chaotic even in the middle of a set.We had to walk down to the NME tent where it was much better serviced, It seemed to be a lot worse this year. There were 3 mens toilets close to the main stage and only 2 womens. They could really do with another couple of toilet blocks for ladies because I don't think it is really fair.

I'll probably get shot down for this, but I thought Paramore were bloody great at Leeds. Hayley sounded top notch. 100 times better than their piss poor 2010 set. They had a massive crowd too.

Also, just to say, Bombay Bicycle Club's crowd was monsterous! As was The Vaccines'.

I think this is the most positive people on here have been about Reading and Leeds. The past couple of years this forum has been full of posts saying "full of c**ts, not going back" but the general vibe is that it was the best year for a lot of people, save one or two slight faults.

Might just have to save up for next year.

Have been to Reading or Leeds nearly every year since 1986. Took a couple of years off during the twatty riots period, but got back on board last year and am loving it again. Foos especially were fantastic.

Being able to enjoy the clubbing afterwards and then get a 1.00am bus to Ibis in Leeds made it even better!

Had a great time. Foo Fighters and The Cure were absolutely magical. I've never made such a fool out of myself as I did dancing to The Cure, and I think the people around me were slightly bemused haha!

At the Drive-In and The Cure were brilliant last night, topped everything off nicely. Kaiser Chiefs make up my top 5 acts of the weekend. Great fun.

Had no trouble at all. We seemed almost the only 'post-gcse kids' in green which was nice as we preferred the chilled out atmosphere. And receiving our results on Thursday provided some excitement, so the weekend was a nice way to celebrate them.

Saw some amusing things throughout the weekend, such as the group of people next to us who brought a sofa, hanging basket and paddling pool. Also we woke up this morning to some random kids sat in our group with a fire burning (using our logs), quietly chatting amongst themselves, causing no trouble.

Overall I had a great weekend and can't wait for next year!

Glad you enjoyed Late night gimp fight. Am good friends with them so have seen them a few times. Its really great to see them taking off and playing these big festivals. They had a few microphone issues and the projectors were not powerful enough but they came through it well. Good crowd for them.

That was my 8th Reading and I think it was my favourite. Not the best lineup but I enjoyed it the most. Before this years my previous favourite was back in 2003. I definitely feel older and older with each passing year (Although I am a fan of the current festival fashion for girls, seems to be a 'who can wear the shortest shorts' competition.)
