Looking again at the unofficial announcement, it does look very much as if it's aimed at a German audience - I wonder if it came from a German website?

But if you take a taxi, take an official one. A lot of unofficial taxi drivers will be waiting outside the entrance and asking if you need a taxi, but they'll charge way too much. Better head straight to the official taxis, waiting for you in a queue.

Close to the festival entrance is a special temporary parking for official taxis, and I believe they have fixed prices for taking you to the airport. Those are good. The taxi drivers coming to you and asking if you need a taxi are not good.

Whenever you need a taxi anywhere else in Budapest, the best choice is to call a reputable taxi company like City Taxi or Fo Taxi (you can find their numbers at the airport). When stopping a taxi on the road, you risk getting into a 'cowboy' taxi. I've heard stories of them charging £20 for a taxi drive of less than a minute.

PRESS RELEASE WEDNESDAY 23 JANUARY 2013

BLUR GETS INTERNATIONAL COMPANY AT SZIGET FESTIVAL IN BUDAPEST

A British group, a Belgian band, a Dutch DJ, an Austrian band, a Spanish DJ, two American acts and four German acts will join Blur at the Sziget Festival in Budapest. The organisers of the festival on a Danube island in Budapest confirmed that today. Many more acts are still to be announced, including four out of five Main Stage headliners.

Hadouken!, Azealia Banks, The Bots, Boys Noize, Triggerfinger, Oscar Mulero, Nicky Romero, Parov Stelar Band, Deichkind, Die Ärzte & Seeed

The Sziget Festival is known for always having a very international and eclectic line up, where all fans can open their minds and discover acts from all over the world. Of the newly confirmed acts, Azealia Banks and German groups Die Ärzte and Seeed will get afternoon slots on the Main Stage. The other acts will perform in the two biggest tents at the festival site: the Arena and the A38 Stage. These acts include Boys Noize and Deichkind from Germany, Oscar Mulero from Spain, Nicky Romero from The Netherlands, Triggerfinger from Belgium, Parov Stelar Band from Austria, The Bots from USA and Hadouken! from London.

The 21st edition of the Sziget Festival will take place 5-12 August 2013 on Óbudai Island, a Danube island close to the city centre of Budapest. Ten thousands of Western-Europeans head to the festival every year, for example with the famous Sziget Express party trains departing from The Netherlands. Last year the festival welcomed several thousands of British visitors, who got to see The Stone Roses, The Killers, Snoop Dogg, Korn, Placebo, LMFAO, Leftfield, Two Door Cinema Club a.o. One of the visitors was Michael Eavis, who said Sziget ,,is a fantastic festival, more colourful and probably a lot cleaner than Glastonbury”.

For more info about the festival and travel options, including the Sziget Express trains, and for UK ticket sales, please visit the official UK websitehttp://www.szigetfest.co.uk/.

Wouldn't the booking of these so called 'classic' artists affect the amount of cash left over for booking the undercard? In other words, 'classic' headliners, crap undercard. Not keen on that idea!

Thought I'd look at potential headliners in the previous made list of bands that could play

Avicii (possible dance headliner maybe? Unlikely though. I wouldn't be fussed)

David Guetta (same as above)

Deep Purple (definitely possible given their tour dates but not a great choice imo)

Eminem (I would like this and it could be possible given current tour dates)

Kings Of Leon (they looked nailed on to me. I'm apathetic about it myself as I've seen them numerous times but they always put on a decent show even though their music has got gradually worse)

Motorhead (outside bet maybe? I'd watch them but wouldn't be a first choice)

Neil Young & Crazy Horse (a big outside shot I think due to tour dates ending in late-July but you never know. Would certainly please the peole I'm going with)

Rammstein (please no. They were shockingly average last time I saw them)

System Of A Down (are playing in Eastern Europe the week of Sziget. Holy cow, if they played I'd be absolutely delighted)

So given that there's usually a surprise or two I'd expect either two of three of those, with Kings of Leon and SOAD looking most likely

Kings of Leon have been removed from the efestivals rumours list for V (last year both V headliners played Sziget), so I'm wondering whether their tour of Europe is due to end at some point before August?

Rammstein have been ruled out of Sziget by szigetnews.com because they are supposed to be playing Volt instead.

Wouldn't Neil Young be a tad expensive? Saw him at Optimus Alive a couple of years back and thought that his performance was mega disappointing.

Of the bands, etc. that are listed there, my bet would be on Eminem and SOAD. I, for one, would be over the moon if SOAD were announced! :)
