Uncle Liam
Headliners: I still think Daft Punk for whatever reason. Kings of Leon I reckon are also nailed on. Blur as well are a possbility, but I have no basis for that other than gut feelings around who is touring. Foals as well, but not headlining, obviously. Oh, and Editors. Daniel Comino Royuela
mmm, well Coachella it's one of the biggest and most important festival in America, and you smell that on the air in the minute zero, but I don't think it's the best festival at all for some points: - You are in the desert, and that means that during the day you fry yourself in the sun seen the concerts, and at night, in just one hour, it gets really cold, so at the Dance acts at the end of the night you are streamly tired because of the changes of temperature of your body. - The worst thing I've ever seen in a festival is not letting people drink alcochol in the concerts area, I mean, I don't need to get streamly drunk to enjoy a festival, but a beer in the hands is always a point. In Coachella they don't let you drink any kind of alcochol in the concert's area, instead of that, there's some closed areas, in wich you can enter with a wrisband to consume alcohol, and one's you've enjoyed your drink, you can get out and continue with the concerts. We felt like monkeys in the jail. And the only think they had with that is that people get high with others "kind of things", you can almost eat the wee in the air... In fact we had to take a taxy to the nearest market to buy beer to drink in the camping area, cos they don't even sell beer in the camping zone. When we saw that we almost had a heart attack. The others things are good... XDD Having been in all the festivals I've been I would recomend to anyone whose never been to one to go to Rockwerchter, the best I've been to, and in second place I'll always have Benicassim in my heart (best party ever), but this last years they are loosing the way, and so many drunked english people all around. Hope Sziget seems to Werchter, ejjeje...

thetime
Just a quick question lambo as Im thinking of connections back on the monday. How long does the free shuttle bus take from the airport?

spudling
We will be going by Train again next year. For those who are flying you could also consider flying Ryan air to Bratislava and the getting the train to Budapest. The train costs about 20 euro return so you could save some cash if you get a good deal on the Bratislava flights. Uncle Liam
Lots of people did the Bratislava option. I went to Bratislava straight after last year and the train was full of people going straight to the airport.
Lambo_KoRn
just checked that out the bratislava thing, not a bad option tbh, will make things different next year

Cristall
I think it takes around 40 minutes from the island to the airport. During rush hours it could take longer. Edited November 17, 2012 by Cristall
rug568
My friend just uttered the words i've been regretting.... 'Why don't we got to benicassim instead' Because I have already brought my ticket you idiot.
edfirth
just out of coincidence what did you think of coachella? Edited November 23, 2012 by edfirth
Lambo_KoRn
the best thing about sziget is you basicly get 6days of headliners, plus the dance arenas stay open till 6am and have their own set of headliners and subheadliners which dont start untill after the main stage has closed so you dont have to worry about them clashing with the main stage! so i got to see all the main acts without having to worry about clashes! stevoooo
wow...this is a busy little forum already. I still had the 2012 forum bookmarked and thought I'd better check to see if a 2013 one had been set-up. Great to see a bit of buzz about the place, names I recognise and new faces too. Been to Sziget a couple of times 2010 & 2011, but missed out on this year, but doing everything i can to get there next year again. Be good to find out what people thought of the changes that were introduced at 2012, a lot due to cost cutting. I know a lot of folk weren't to enamored with the headline acts and the main line up..... well someone did blow the budget on Prince the year before! But its more with Vodaphone pulling out as a sponser, be interesting to know if you guys thought the festival had lost anything with the stage cutbacks, etc. Reintroduction of the open air Meduzzas tage would be top of my wish list! Uncle Liam
Pulp v Placebo Chems v Korn Prodigy v Stone Roses Thirty Seconds to Mars v Snoop Dogg White Lies v The Killers Looking at it like that, I dont think budgets had anything to do with headliners over the last two years.
