tipi stage, after hours saturday

after the really rather good jeffery lewis set i stumbled upon, there was a fearsomely good country rock band. never heard who they were as the front man was a bit of a mumbler.

so who were they?

i can say it wasn't jonothan wilson, saw him last year supporting wilco and again on friday at the woods stage. i would definitely have recognised him

Yes, it was definitely Jeffrey Lewis then DDW then Jonathan Wilson. One of the best of the late night Tipi line ups (although I missed Thursday night's).

If it was the band with the great keyboard player, it was DDW. Briliant set in the tipi and a mindblowingly brilliant set at 1pm on the Saturday morning on the Woods stage.

Not being biased because i had them play in Brighton recently, but they were the best band i saw all weekend. Gonna be huge!

So no one saw Deer Tick's front man whip out the old man then...at the climax (sorry) of the final tune "Let's all go to the bar" he dropped his his trousers and started using the old feller as a plectrum.

Jeffrey Lewis was followed by the Deep Dark Woods and then Deer Tick (who were joined for one song by a guy who looked like Jonathan Wilson).
