I was surprised at the size of the crowd for Patti Smith's reading, I was expecting a lot of folk and was concerned the area might have got overcrowded, but the pathway was always more or less clear for people to get past.

Ned The Kids Dylan guested with HFTRR? That's amazing! Gutted to have missed Horse Thief and JTE but I did catch Jeffrey Lewis, The Deep Dark Woods and a bit of Cashier No 9.

That makes sense: for HFTRR's midday slot, we had the Shakes watching a couple away from us on our right, and the Low Anthem watching on the left.

The Line of Best Fit also put on a couple of secret(ish) session shows - which were filmed and will be online in the coming weeks which a lot of people saw.

Sunday 18.30 - Hooray for the Riff Raff in front of the pirate boat.

I was furious when Alabama Shakes turned up at the piano on Sunday evening and turfed off Patrick Watson when we were all having a lovely time. 'Who are you?' said one official (of EOTR/Alabama Shakes) as Patrick Watson stepped off the stage. How embarrassing. EOTR should apologise to him.

The quiz had been going on in that area immediately before so there were plenty of people there already, and thus plenty of people to surreptitiously spread the word.

Abi Wade did a midday-or-so piano set on Friday, and I've seen Twitter pics of Patrick Watson there late on Sunday. Jonathan Wilson was last on Friday in the Tipi, says the same social network.
