nigeyb
Ah, just discovered the discussion here having started a new thread. Doh. Ah well, just to repeat myself.. I am delighted about Dinosaur Jr. who are long time favourites (J Mascis' solo stuff is well worth checking out too) Don't know much about Warpaint but like what I've hard. The Leisure Society are always splendid. Yet to warm to Allo Darlin' despite their excellent name. Ethan Johns and Cass McCombs should be OK. The rest are all new to me and I shall report back having checked them out. I've discovered so much good music through EOTR that I'm confident some will be wonderful. nigeyb
So how many more artists to be announced?
Infinite Jest
Got to be another 30 or 40, I would have thought? But maybe a dozen of those will be bands who applied to play, so its unlikely we'll have heard of any of them. Can't see too many more big names (maybe a few at the Frightened Rabbit/Dino Jr level). What do you lot think?
geofelgie
Yup.....48 acts so far.........85 last year (plus 4/5 on Thursday). So 40ish. I think there were far fewer bands chosen from applications though last year - was it just three/four??????? As to the level of bands......I think there's still a fair few at the 3rd main stage sort of level......maybe even a Garden stage headliner. Still have hopes for Phosphorescent........just maybe Of Monsters and Men......but the Polyphonic Spree's ship may have sailed.
ljsawyer
Green Man has nabbed a few of the bands I was hoping for - Allah-Las, Lord Huron and Sam Amidon. There's still a chance they could play EOTR as well though of course.
riverlodge
would have also liked low and darkstar from their lineup.
