Surprised by all the Nick Cave expectations, wouldn't have thought he's even close to being 'certainly the biggest act ever to play EOTR'. No bigger than Modest Mouse or Wilco at least. Could be the 2nd headliner though.

Heh, as soon as I saw your post on DiS about Portishead touring, my first thought was "it couldn't be them, could it?". Maybe an outside chance? Suspect Arcade Fire are much too big, though they'd be great.

Arcade Fire headlined Reading & Leeds a couple of years ago so would assume they're far too big.

Portishead would be ace, and I'm not sure they are too big.

You'd have to assume it's someone touring who has sold out most of their dates. Or someone that hasn't announced any Uk dates yet.

Saw Portishead at ATP a few years back, they were curating, and they were wonderful. They'd be a great band to see at EOTR.

Now then, I know John Grant has been at EOTR for two consecutive years however he's got a new song that has a whole new sound that could work brilliantly in an early evening slot (or late night one too). I say on the evidence of this....

...get him back again. It also augers well for the new album in 2013.
