I'm sure everyone has seen but halo 4 for 25 quid everywehre and hitman for about 20 go and get them!

Going have to go for it I think, was debating Halo 4 or COD as I need a new FPS since getting back on my xbox!

I got Lego Star Wars: The Complete Sage over christmas, when you could download it for 9.99,. Not as good as I remember the lego Indiana Jones game being...seems fairly short each episode to? Also seems to fecking crash all the time!

If you are basing fps choice on campaign, halo wins hands down. Cod is cod, never anything new, but halo is something really special.

Got Halo 4, quite disappointed tbh. I can't game online atm (long story, basically I have arse internet connection) so campaign only, finished it in two nights. Short.

Ive been playing Batman Arkham City, Marvel v Capcom 3, Bulletstorm and WWE 13. All really great games, done Bulletstorm, up to fighting Mr Freeze on Batman, was bloody annoying. Marvel v Capcom 3 is fantastic and ive unlocked a lot of trophies and WWE 13 Id been getting all the non stroyline trophies and now just doing Attitude Era which is great, THQ have really put out a class game.

Get Mortal Kombat, Bioshock 2 and Guardians of Middle Earth on PS+ later today, good times, I still have Bayonetta, Just Cause 2, Infamous 2, Crysis 2 and Vanquish that I haven't even started as well.

Sounds like Lego LOTR - short, and buggy

even the unlocking everything, and getting 'True Adventurer' on every level only took me 3 days, although I didn't bother making everything at the blacksmiths, and left some challenges uncomplete I felt I'd pretty much finished it in Free Play. the games itself took only the day after Boxing Day

I am quite into online playing, would COD be better the choice? If their about even I'll give Halo 4 a shot still :)

Worse part of the game for sure, it's just really annoying Gameplay.

I would say COD, even though I havent played H4 online. I've always found Halo games online to be great fun, but ultimately incredibly hard to achieve any success. The standard of player on Halo is far higher imho. Everything about Halo screams quality - the hit detection, the matchmaking, the map design - but theres no getting away from it - I'm fuckin shite at it, I can occasionally get a top 3 finish but I invariably end up in the bottom 3, and it doesnt pull me back in.

COD however is a great game for that quick fix, I can usually finish top 3, and my kd is usually hovering around 1/1, whereas oon halo I doubt I make it into the +ve figures.

Would anyone believe me if I said I did? :P

No, I didn't. Would that have taken 3 nights?

It normally takes me about 20 hours, maybe a little more - but its a completely different game. You have to deal with every enemy, and you really have to think about your approach to every encounter. I never believed it before I tried it. Honestly, give it a go and persevere

Tried it, still not impressed I'm afraid. Just too short a campaign. Still, got Halo CE anniversary and LA Noire in the game sale which so far are both doing better than Halo 4.

Picked up a Vita yesterday, had a little go of it today, impressive.

Traded in a bunch of old games at cex, ended up costing me £24.

Only really got it cus I have PS+ so I don't need to buy any games for it, cus I plan to stay a subscriber for a long time, just about to renew until April 2014.

If anyone has a PSN user and wants to add me for PS3 or Vita its luckysalt81

Vita's a great piece of hardware, best handheld I've ever owned - hardware wise anyway. Screens gorgeous, it's comfy, GUI is smooth and fast etc. Game line up was okay for a first year too, albeit it's dried up horribly for now and the future looks pretty barren. Find I don't play many handheld games though so don't need an onslaught of games, just always something there for when im travelling on a coach or something for a few hours.

PS+ is a stupidly amazing service now, took them a while to get it right but it's totally nailed it now. With both consoles combined it's incredible value, gravity rush was a fun game. Not got round to the Uncharted Vita yet but heard good things. Going through Red Dead Redemption atm... Got Arkham City waiting for me, I don't buy games anymore lol.

Cheers for the addy Jammy, you're some hardcore gamer, 44 plats! I don't have a single one! although only had my PS for a few months, been playing thru Resi 5 tonight with a mate online, he has completed it and knew what he was doing so dragging me through it, did about 7 or 8 acts.

Sleep now!

The wife and I caved and we bought a Wii U. Not played anything but Nintendo Land yet but for multiplayer it is a silly amount of fun and the gamepad is a fantastic piece of kit that works incredibly well that is actually really comfy to use. Really looking forward to trying ZombiU and New Super Mario :)

So THQ rescue has failed and now the company will cease to exist, another one bites the dust!

January 22nd is the date to put in your diaries.

That is the date that an auction will take place with all the game companys, EA, Activision, Ubisoft etc where each of THQ's licenses will be sold off one by one.

I Bet EA get WWE.

Wouldn't be surprised if they pick up Saints Row either.

Im guessing their South Park game will be up for grabs too.
