I bought a Gamecube from Ebay as I'd never owned one first time round and it's just arrived The wife's going to a friend's tonight so you'll find me on the couch playing Resident Evil and drinking tea - happy days!

Excellent game, Resident Evil remake? Nothing gives me a bigger nostalgia-boner than the original on Playstaion though.

Yeah it's the remake. I love the original on the Playstation though, totally with you on that one. Thought the Gamecube would be a pretty good way of playing through Resident Evil 0 - 4 (Including Code Veronica) except Resi 2 & 3 are both pretty pricey I'll keep looking though. I've picked up Resident Evil 0, the REmake and 4 all for a decent price tough.

RE marathon! Done a few of those. Never played the remake do they still say the classic lines like "a Jill sandwich!" and "I hope this is not Chris's blood"?

Thank you, I would appreciate that. It will help me make a decision if they are worth playing or not

EDIT: Also I have always found it strange that they don't make RE 0 and REmake downloadable on PS3 and 360, it would be really popular.

The intro has been remade, and toned down sadly.They've also got rid of Barry's beard, now he has stubble

It does look like fun, it shows how much games improved in those 6 years. I really want to play it but I don't know if it's worth getting a gamecube to play it on, I might just wait and see if xbox make it downloadable.

There does seem to be a trend of remaking classic games in nextgen engines and selling them as budget titles (or full price titles in the case of the need for speed series) which I welcome. I picked up THPS HD on steam for about the price of 20 fags a few weeks back and had some happy hours with classic gameplay, classic levels and classic soundtrack.

Personally I'd love to see more classics remade and sold for download at a value price point.

Excellent news. I was wondering about DLC. Clearly a later DLC I would love to see would be some MP gameplay (my son and I used to play a lot of head to head graffiti mode) and packs with more maps, music and gameplay modes would be extremely welcome here.

I don't know how many hours of my life have been "wasted" on Tony Hawks. I used to be an absolute demon on the skate competition level on THPS 3, I could rail slide round the outside of the entire level for a few laps

Anyone else playing Dishonoured? Absolutely loving it. The level design reminds me of Thief. Each level is huge and can take a few hours to complete, especially if you're trying to find secret bits and bobs.
