Healthy debate on some Northern Soul pages as whether it's any good. I love and probably prefer the original but Bruce's cover is pretty good.

I can understand the debate when a classic is re-made and you have fond memories of the original.  But it can also be keeping music alive and perhaps bringing it to a new, wider audience.  Not knowing either the original or the Bruce version I'd say he kept the spirit of the classic.  Also good to see him nodding to his heritage.

I've only once been to the IoW Festival and never again.  So corporate.  Latest plan today is that Mrs GH and I are going to volunteer once a week at our local food bank.
