The connection is not obvious, so a little explanation.  Terry Pratchett, best known for his Discworld series, wrote a brilliant trilogy, known as the Nome Trilogy, a series of books for children about a group of little people (the Nomes) who lived in a quarry.  One day this mechanical monster began digging up the quarry.  They were so afraid that they had to take flight from the monster they called Jekub (as in pronouncing JCB).  So they escaped on a truck, eventually stowing away on an aeroplane.  The trilogy, which I thoroughly recommend to people of all ages, was entitled Truckers, Diggers and Wings.
