Saturday night at the acoustic this year, and yet another highlight for me, of an amazing year.

 

A great singalong to this at the  Andy Fairweather Low, Paul,Carrack and Nick Lowe gig.

A quite amazing repertoire between all three,and just a hugely entertaining evening.

My brother in law was at the Elton show in Gloucester recently where he had a go at one of the stewards for being over-zealous before finally apologising.  That apart he reckons it was a great show.

Eric Bibb was good at Acoustic, the only act I think I went up for this time. Strange how the stage frequency changes each time, but that's as daft as relying on the England Team being like the one back in 66. It's nice to have the changes.

Alright Pop pickers. Did my usual, stood outside the meet, couldn't see a face I recognised so walked away. Although did meet up with Carlos and a couple of NFR folks on the Thurs & had a nice time. There's always next time I guess

Well I'm really sorry to have missed the EFests meet but, as I've posted elsewhere, I had to return home on Wednesday after our cat had to be put down and Mrs GH needed some consoling.  Did manage to return for the rest of the fest from Thursday.  So the faces to names bit will have to wait another year.

 

One thing which I concluded this year is that the foundation for any good performance has to be good songs/material.  Yes, you can still ruin a good song but it's much harder to make a rubbish song sound good no matter how much prancing and dancing you do.

 

Clear and Present Danger is one of my favourite Tom Clancy books.  And what spells danger is RED.
