Hoping there's going to be a classic rock injection soon, Mötley Crüe up against Rammstein would be a good start... Or ZZTopp, Deep Purple, Scorpions... I take it that Kiss rumour has gone away now...

BFMV is a boring booking and I'd have much rathered Deftones, but in reality there are few 'big' metal or rock bands I can honestly say I'd care to see so at least its gone to someone I'll see rather then Motley Crue or something. Hope Deftones still find a space against QOTSA.

LIstened to the new BFMV song too, its just more Fever type pop metal. I don't mind it but it's nothing interesting or memorable. Hand of Blood / Poison era was their peak unfortunately.

I think BFMVs popularity can be measured by the fact that they have today been leaked on twitter,confirmed onthe official website and there is still only about 20 comments on here about it.no one even cares enough to start a thread about it.

Loads of the younger members of my family love them... think they are just a great introduction to metal for younger people... wish more younger people would get into metal the way I did with bands like KoRn and System of a Down...

Of the currently known bands, the only band I would see ahead of Scorpions is Rammstein and I'd probably change my mind on the day. I grew up with them and have only seen them once. I agree there's not enough classic rock yet but doesn't it always tend to be fill in stuff at Download announced nearer the time? Apart from Def Leppard obviously. They must be due back, it's been at least a year.

Regarding Bullet as well they get heavy rotation play on Radio 1 and Kerrang in the daytime too, and like said they're a good introduction band in rock/metal, thats exactly why Andy has booked them.

Although the likes of BFMV,BVB,MCR etc are not popular with the over 20's it's good that bands like these introduce kids to music.

It started off strong with the likes of Rammstein, QOTSA and AiC but it's getting more unimaginative with each announcement. Not complaining it's still good enough for me.

Maiden stage setup will take a good 45 minutes at least. Second stage headliners would hardly clash with QOTSA at all if they time it right.
