LondonTom
I don't get the fuss about Mick saying come see us again either... It made sense and was just a bit friendly stage banter, a good portion of the audience probably has never seen them at their own gigs. Loads of bands say similar, just a turn of phrase really. Hardly going say "Orite, you've seen us once...don't bother again". While we are talking about the Rolling Stones cashing in on playing Glastonbury...I am waiting on my Glas STON bury t-shirt to arrive, quite liked the design but they was sold out in man sizes when I discovered them at the merch stalls and the Rolling Stones have kindly put them on for sale on their site
CaledonianGonzo
I wanted one of those - but now I've seen the Hyde Park merch with the butterfly on it I think I might like that even more. Zoo Music Girl
I'm getting quite excited about tomorrow now! Despite still feeling rough it will be nice to be clean and well slept this time around I know it won't be a patch on Glasto but I can't wait to enjoy them with my boyfriend as well. And I'm confident they'll put on a good show - hopefully they're still riding high.

Wooderson
Nothing wrong with promoting the band is there? "If this is the first time you've seen the band - do come again alright?" Not sure what the issue is? I thought it showed they've no plans to stop. Judging by their performance why would they? They may be all in their late 60s/70s but they played like men in their 20s. Mud Dweller
Interviews with Jagger & Richards are on Absolute Radios Rolling Stones section (can be downloaded on podcast to). MEGABOWL
Loved the comment "if you haven't seen us before, come to some more of our shows!" Mick, you absolute scumbag. ???????? Why would he say anything else?

EighteenSixty7
Just watching the highlight show now, will watch the full Saturday one at a later time. Jagger is unbelievable as a frontman, had the crowd in the palm of his hand and seeing Richards and Wood just patrol around the stage was magnificent. WS_Jack_III
I loved Midnight Rambler. And Can You Hear Me Knocking for that matter. It's the Stones, their roots are in blues music, you are always going to get at least one blues jam in there somewhere. Better that than some soulless electronic shite. Rambler is one my fave Stones songs and i've so many people moaning about it and saying it was the "low point" of the set. Don't understand that opinion to be honest. 2000 light years was the low point in an excellent set.
WS_Jack_III
Oh and when he said "do come and see us again" I thought to myself "I would if tickets weren't £100"
Comfy Bean
Thanks Mac. That explains it. Just been watching it back and it all makes sense ( now ). TV obviously doesn`t do it justice but good to see close up how much they were enjoying it. What a night. Highlight of an amazing weekend. Hope all you lucky ones have a great time on Saturday. you're not getting any better at this. maybe give it a rest eh? please... no more. bloody spammers. Am I missing something here...... ? Posted about what the script was with the different screens for the Stones. Fella takes the time to explain. I thank him. Suggestions I give it a rest. Is it me ? Honestly confused. markm69
Me and the mrs both agreed that the bbc coverage last night did nothing to project the atmosphere and the brilliance of The Stones. Why, we couldn't work out, maybe the electricty running across the crowd failed to venture itself into the fluffy boom sticks .

AiiShotTheDJ
which is the same for any live event. Driving home from Glastonbury, there were a couple of complete divs on Radio 1 playing highlights from the festival (which is why we were listening). The girl kept on saying how she had a better experience because she watched it on tele and made cocktails and had her bed and could have a bath while she was watching it. NO! you brain dead moron, you didn't 'experience' anything, you were an observer of what the beeb let you watch. Even then, what you saw was light years from what the punters saw, heard, and actually experienced Oh my God, I was listening to this too and wanted to hurt the woman because she was continually bragging she was in the comfort of her own home but didn't have hot water so was 'kind of' experiencing it- ha, fucking ha. I watched the Stones back and thought how deadpan it looked which is nothing like how it was in reality. On a side note, waved my partner off at 8am today to go to the Hyde Park show with his Dad who's dream it has been to see them play- felt like a Mum waving her baby boy off to school! GlastoSimon
Those at Hyde Park are only getting 1hr45 tonight (Glasto got 2hr15), would not be a happy bunny if I'd paid a fortune for that. Although 1hr45 isn't THAT bad. Gary Clark Jr appearing with them tonight apparently.
