I think it should be made into a larger stage rather than a tent, it has outgrown it's tent status with the size of the acts there since it was the new bands tent.

It shouldn't lose the name. Thanks for the troll though.

the festival needs some covered stages as relief from the weather in wet years.

It’s fairly common knowledge that Jimmy Page’s girlfriend was 14. Could be wrong, but don’t remember anyone making a particular fuss over that.
I’m not saying that it’s acceptable! Sick of people comparing Peel to the likes of Saville, just plain wrong from my understanding.

No, it shouldn't.

There were a good few non-Peel acts on their line-up this year though...  I can't imagine John playing Charlie XCX on his radio show.

Peel would play any old shit, he wasn't a music snob.

The John Peel case is a strange one which I've never really got my head round.

As far as I'm aware he was never found out, he came out himself and admitted to sexual relations with underage girls. Again to the best of my knowledge he was never charged with anything, nor has he ever been "cancelled". You barely ever hear anything about it.

Just a strange is the fact that I know quite a lot of people who are big music fans and very aware of John Peel and his musical legacy, yet very few of them are even aware of this.

That's quite a significant thing.

He's either worthy of a stage being named after him or isn't, and the amount of press attention his bad deeds had shouldn't play a part in that determination.

I personally think the whole area needs a rejig on the lines of the Park area.

Call the whole area "the woods". Have the big tent still, link in more coherently with the forest next door, a couple of smaller stages, the bar and tea tent.

Make a nice entrance sign at the top of lower mead and also at Michael's Mead.
