Hi guys

I'm doing a uni projects on the maths behind Reading and Leeds festivals and just ondered if anyone could give any help on anything like:

- When was the last time Reading weekend tickets didnt sell out

-Ticket prices through the years

-How close does Leeds come to selling out

-An estimation of how much all the bands cost to put the line up together

And any other useful information.

Any help would be really appreciated and may be rewarded in a beer at R2013!!

Thanks efestivallers

Here's an intresting argument about the cost of running Download (not sure if any figures have been released about R&L unless you want to go to company house to get them) with 4 pages of it just about VAT.

  • 1 month later...

First went in 92, it was £55 i think.

A one-off (non festival) gig was about £7-8 for a top three festival band probably back then (thinking Wonder Stuff/Therapy?/Lemonheads at their peaks sort of level) and is now very variable but probably three times that (although some strange people pay ludicrous amounts to see Coldplay/Muse to play enormodomes). So i'd say festivals have increased at a slightly higher than gig rate of inflation.

I've never been and thought it wasn't value for money though.
