insideaway
Surprised HIM are playing 3rd stage, thought they played main last time? Edited November 6, 2012 by insideaway

kaosmark2
The bands below Rammstein are fucking w*nk. AIC and QOTSA might warrant a day ticket if there's anyone else that day I care about. Wouldn't mind seeing Maiden again even though I've not really got any significant interest in doing so. GRichards23
Liking this. Deftones to sub Slipknot then? Absolutely loving 30STM subbing Rammstein, that'll be a brilliant way to end the festival.

mrtourette
Yeah if ADTR are headlining on the Sunday then the only place would be on the Saturday when it finishes early due to Maiden's demands.
GRichards23
ADTR aren't headlining the Sunday. AC confirmed that on Twitter. Would Stone Sour really clash with Rammstein? That would be an insane decision to make.
AcademicPistol
Not entirely sure, 2nd stage headliner maybe?
theramm
Sure Corey said on Twitter he thought Stone Sour were playing Saturday. If that's the case then they'll headline 2nd, no clash with Maiden & opposite QOTSA (perfect for me). luckysalt
I can't imagine people who were thinking about buying day tickets for Rammstein thinking wow what an undercard gotta go now, that undercard just does not match. But Andy loves doing stuff like that. Gutted ADTR are on second stage, probably gunna clash with 30STM and I haven't seen either before, ADTR haven't toured here for a while and I'd not pay for a 30STM show, but when it gets to it I'd probably watch ADTR and then they'll tour and I'll never see 30STM. Think Saturdays bill works well together, ain't fussed about seeing Motorhead again, but still. Slipknots day left blank is interesting... biffoire
I'd love to see Stone Sour headline 2nd against Slipknot. That would be interesting. (As well as physically impossible)

Lithium05
Don't get me wrong, I like Corey Taylor as much as the next Download goer, but Stone Sour are not a good band. Last two albums have been shite, and the earlier two have not aged particularly well. Seems to be a horrendous mix of Nickelback style radio rock, and massively outdated Nu-Metal. If it Corey hadn't made his name in Slipknot, and Stone Sour were his only band, I doubt anyone would give a fuck about them. QOTSA are a far superior band. theramm
I highly doubt Stone Sour & QOTSA will clash, they're far to similar in terms of style/fan base, or at least one would assume, you never know for sure with Copping though. Frankly Mr Shankly
I don't think it would be too far from this years Biffy/Killswitch clash tbh.
stramasher
That Saturday line-up would make for an outstanding day for me. Not so much for my neck. Sunday's undercard not so. Would give Gaslight a chance, maybe if I have been O'D.ing on the "METULLH!!" over the rest of the weekend. Saw 30STM at T a few years back and they were cheesey in the extreme, particularly the chanter. Whom was pretty amusing to give him his due. And cheers for your drawring LS, good work, nicked and passed on ....
theramm
Both Biffy & Killswitch are young (as in not 'classic'), heavy bands that share a similar fan base. I don't think their country of origin is massively important tbh. Stone Sour will appeal to the peeps who want to jump around & listen to something heavier. QOTSA will appeal to those who want a nap. Frankly Mr Shankly
I'm sorry but I disagree with you, QOTSA & Stone Sour would share more of a common fan base than Biffy & Killswitch. Also consider that there are 3 'metal' headliners this year at Download, so why would Andy want to make 2 of the biggest American (& yes it does matter about country of origin sometimes) 'rock' acts with a similar fan base (from a similar time period) clash? It wouldn't make much sense. As I say, I'm not saying it 100% won't happen, but there doesn't seem much logic in it to me. You're clearly basing your argument on the fact that you want them to clash.
