I quite like QOTSA on record but the few times that i've seen them live, i've found them quite dull. And despite being a big Slipknot fan, i've never really taken an interest in Stone Sour. I'm just hoping now that if they do end up clashing, there's someone worth watching on the 3rd stage (Mr Copping, if you're listening then Bleeding Through or Darkest Hour would make me a very happy Downloader!)

I've find that can be true, they are very inconsistent live band imo. I've seen them be fucking brilliant and other times dull and I'm not sure why so I've basically decided to not bother seeing them at their own shows as I'm never sure if it's worth it or not.

Agree with people about QotSA being inconsistent live. First time I saw them they were very poor, 2nd time very good and the 3rd time absolutely incredible. For some reason I cant see them being on form at Download, if theyve been reluctant to play for so long then I cant see them being particularly excited about it. Though of course I might just be telling myself that as I cant afford to go :-(

Don't get me wrong, I like Corey Taylor as much as the next Download goer, but Stone Sour are not a good band. Last two albums have been shite, and the earlier two have not aged particularly well. Seems to be a horrendous mix of Nickelback style radio rock, and massively outdated Nu-Metal.

If it Corey hadn't made his name in Slipknot, and Stone Sour were his only band, I doubt anyone would give a fuck about them.

QOTSA are a far superior band.

Are Gaslight Anthem actually third from top? Or are they just on main... poor band for third from top if they are... They played no where near that high at Reading and they are much more suited to there... I know they played fourth from top at Download before but they weren't exactly above particularly big bands..

It can be a safe bet that neither QOTSA nor Stone Sour will be as poor as 30STM were at Leeds '11. I actually quite like them so I was let down and left pissed off that a large factor of my ticket being brought was for them and when they were on stage, Jared sang about 2 lines out of every song!

That said, when I buy my ticket at the end of the month I will be giving them a second chance. As I did with Paramore this year at Leeds (I was made up, thought they were fantastic, others disagree but it happens) after I witnessed their diabolical set at Leeds '10.

Are ADTR actually headlining the 2nd stage on the Sunday? If not, then who do we think will be the 3 headliners for that stage? I'm hoping Stone Sour will on the Saturday. Also, I'd love if there was a bit of a Knotfest influence with Deftones & Machine Head below Slipknot!

To answer questions in this thread

Gaslight Anthem are indeed 3rd on main stage

Top 3 Sunday are Rammstein, 30STM, Gaslight Anthem, anyone added will be below them

Saturday line up on main is the same, anyone added will be below Alice In Chains

No 2nd Stage Headliners announced yet, although A Day To Remember are playing 2nd stage on Sunday. No word if they're subbing yet.

And HIM are indeed headlining 3rd stage Friday
