King Animal - New Soundgarden Album After 15 Years

Did you give SNW a really good airing? because I find it an incredibly satisfying listen. Id say its arguably their weakest album, but still better than a lot of bands best albums. if that makes sense.

The new album is great, as is Diamond Eyes.

I'm surprised about peoples opinions of them live. I saw them at Download 2 years ago (under megadeth on the saturday night) and immedeatly became a fan from previously only being mildy interested in them. That set was incredible. I then went to see them in Leeds on the diamond eyes tour - which was an amazing set, so much so that I went to see them again the following week in birmingham. Ive seen them live 3 times, and every time they have killed.

Ive got tickets for the shows in Feb too, and I cant wait. I consider them "my favourite band" now.

Soundgarden album, to get back on topic - I quite like it, but havent heard it enough to truly form an opinion. The best albums take 8 or more plays to really sink in with me.

Agreed, although I prefer it to their self titled but those two are their weakest two albums.

Have you checked out B-Sides & Rarities? It has the odd gem in there namely in the form of 'The Chauffeur'.
