Vitamins and Supplements

Just curious as to what people take and why?

I'm about to reorder my usual batch of Glucosamine & Chondroitin (apparently they help my knees), Codliver Oil and Milkthistle (makes hangovers 1000 times less intense) and thought it might be wise to see if I'm missing out on anything beneficial for me? :)

None (despite being entirely vegan at home and veggie out of it) - as TGT says, I feel well and healthy and eat a varied diet (aside from the no meat thing ;) ). Also, my understanding is that synthetic vitamins are not as well absorbed by the body as vitamins in their natural state, so I'm not sure how much value for money they offer/how effective they are. No idea about supplements though!

Each to their own, I believe it's as much about prevention as it is about cure.

I take cod liver oil as there is arthritis in the family (and even though I've been taking CLO daily for nearly 20 years I'm starting to get it in my fingers, but how bad might it be if I hadn't?!))

Also take garlic capsules to help in the crusade against cholesterol, which is also in the family.

I take high dose vitamin C to aid muscle repair in the lead up to and during skiing trips, but only then as I read a while ago that lots of vitamin C can reduce the rate at which your body burns fat.

And Berocca as required!!
