Unfortunately, it's polish law :( .... No one is allowed to sell or consume alcohol on the events area.... So what is more, you can't bring your own alcohol to campsite :( . It is veeery big disadvantage. But the price is great and you can get wasted on our beautiful Polish beaches :)

Connected somehow to opener :D

if you want, on 4.07 Iron Maiden is playing their indoor gig next town (few stops with train SKM) - if i go to Opener, I will also attend to this gig (I doubt that I will prefer Opener bands on this day, maybe Volbeat can change my mind :D )

I see your point, because it's also the best thing about fests for me :) . Especially NOT metal/rock ;) . But sometimes it's worth to survive fest like this :D . The atmosphere is amazing, because polish people are very play- and joyful ;).

It is not allowed to bring your own booze to campsite, but you can buy there Heineken's beer and MAYBE some drinks. Also, there are some nice places near festival where you can drink ;)

Are you able to buy any vodka or anything in the campsite? Is the festival a complete non drinking zone? The price and the line up make this difficult to turn down but it seems pointless if you cant drink. Also, what time do the headliners usually play? Is it like benicassim where they play late into the night or more similar to English festivals where they leave stage at like 11pm?

a) you can buy beer at the campsite for sure, I don't remember if you can buy vodka

B) at the festival you are not allowed to take alcohol near stages, you can drink in few drinking areas.

c) usually headliners start their sets on 10pm, on midnight you have dance acts and it's all for main stage, but on other stages concerts go on

Unfortunately, polish law is very strict about selling and drinking on public events. These drinking areas are not formally on festival site, that's why they are fenced and that's why you can't bring out beers :)

I think this is the best 4 headliners that a festival could get this summer and I really wanted to go but my friends are wary and don't fancy the Polish atmosphere etc! I can see where they are coming from but does anyone want to shed any light on what its really like for Brits?

Ohohoh, funny funny ;)

Polish people are really nice and friendly(maybe some of them are dorks, but it's the same kind of person you can meet everywhere, also in England, where I found 50% of dorks ;) ).

Also, most of students(main target of this fest) know english, so it won't be a problem talk to other people at the fest ;)

Quite fancy this festival this year, headliners are good and the price is crazy cheap.

Bringing the gf so not going to camp, was thinking will have a couple days in Gdansk before the festival for a look around then stay in Sopot during the festival rather than Gdynia. I assume will have no problems getting a train to/from Sopot at night?

Booked tickets today...We will be taking the train from berlin. We'll go on the 2nd and stay until the 8th of July. I booked a room in the a bit shabby looking Orbis Hotel in Gdynia as there where no other reasonable hotels available at this time. I cant be bothered with camping for 4 days. Anybody knows the Orbis hotel? And how far it is from the site? And what a cab might cost? Questions, questions, questions...As for the festival, this looks all very good, with the bands just playing in the evening, there should be plenty of beach time. Is there a good beach in Gdynia or do we have to go to Sopot? What else is there to do? Any cool bars or clubs, one should check out? Cant wait! Saw Blur in Hyde Park last year and I would do the whole trip just for them, but there should be a lot of other good bands to see....
