Caravan covers - any advice?

I'm thinking about getting a caravan cover to keep my festival-going caravan snug and dry for the winter. Any advice or recommendations?

It's not likely to get an outing before the Spring so will be wrapped up for about four months.

hey old son ive just covered my beddie up for the winter but im only covering the very top so im using an old marque top held down with 10mil bunggie cord that i brought in a roll £35 for 50 meters .

this will be ok but if your looking to cover the whole thing its alot better if you use a breathable cover check out ebay old son .the one thing to check which ever sort you use is damp ........before doing mine i looked into it and most people said that covering your van/caravan up causes damp so its best to leave all cupboards open plus fridge and to leave a gap so air can flow through ie a window.also ive put some dehumidifiers in my van plus a bag or 2 of salt ......suck up the water so no dampness ...

hope this helps old son

B*gger .... seems like I'm not the only one who had EXACTLY the same thought when first seeing the thread title cos kaosmark2 kinda beat me to it although this is also defo a Caravan Cover ... or should I perhaps say, une couverture de caravane wink.png

Sorry GH, apart from the thread derail attempt I don't have any advice for keeping that shiny new shack-on-wheels of yours all nice 'n' cozy for the winter I'm afraid but enjoy the band and all that !

That's OK Mike. Good job I didn't ask about bands to hold my caravan cover in place or we'd have been flooded with cover bands replies - on which there used to be a very good thread (must go and huint it out as I'll be seeing several before Christmas).
