Do you have to pay the deposit or can you pay it in full?

The boy might be right, if you click on what looks like standard tickets it only lists lockers, car park, etc. and not the actual ticket.

To me it looks like you might get a code/reference when you pay your deposit that enables you to log-in at any time and pay the rest, so you might be able to do it straight away.

I think it means efests generate income by offering links to ticket vendors, any links to ticket vendors that don't go through that process means efests misses out on potential revenue. If they get that revenue by those vendors paying to advertise then they're happy for those vendors to be supported by direct links (that don't generate income efests), if they don't then no direct links are allowed.

we get a commission per-ticket thru our normal ticket links. As that is a significant part of what funds efestivals we don't as standard allow posts which encourage people to buy their tickets elsewhere.

EUfest is primarily paying for a pinned topic at the top of the International Fests forum, but they also get a bit of slack cut in their direction with forum stuff too - which gets to mean that if they'd have paid for their advertising a few hours before they did do, I wouldn't have deleted that post yesterday.

Their PR hasn't improved much, they haven't promoted this very well:

Fans thinking of getting a ticket for 2013 should move fast. By snapping up tickets now, festival goers can guarantee their place at the festival and get involved in the countdown to the August bank holiday weekend 2013. Buying a full price ticket at the current 2012 price means ticket holders will be eligible for entry into a mega prize draw to reward loyal fans. Buy full-price tickets now for your chance to win across both festivals:

  • 2 x VIP packages, which include the chance to watch a band from the side of the Main Stage and five cases of Tuborg.

  • 4 x Backstage tours, plus a Spotify premium account for three months and a Reading & Leeds T-Shirt.

  • 10 x Backstage tours.

  • 20 x Reading & Leeds merchandise bundles.
