I couldn't find a thread on this so I thought I'd set one up. So what is everyone's favourite album/albums of the year and why? I think my vote has to go with John Talabot - fin. A bit of a slow burner, but given a couple of listen it really shines. Fantastic electronic music.

The Shallows by I Like Trains stands out this year, in what I think has been another great year for albums.

Reptile Youth, Silverclub, Toy, Plank! The Narrows, Citizens! Chromatics, Metric all spring to mind as well. And Nope- great Krautrock band from Leeds

Lots of stuff on the underground.

Tame Impala, Gaslight Anthem, Tribes, Howler, Django Django, The XX, Hot Chip, LTA, Sleigh Bells and King Charles have all been pretty good

I'd say my favourites are Gaslight, Howler & Django Django.

Not a massive Deftones fan, but gave Koi No Yokan a listen earlier and really enjoyed it. I can hear some Faith No More and My Vitriol influences in there.
