I wonder what happened to her, seems like years and years since shes released anything.

I know she got married around the time of her popularity peak. I have a feeling that she had a kid too, but I might be wrong about that.

As it happens I saw her at V Fest nearly ten years back, and to my surprise I thought it was really good (within the limits of the content, of course). It was far less 'wet' than I thought it would be, and more ballsy and fun.

Interesting point would eminem be seen as ground breaking if he was a black rapper?

Was a big reason why he was huge was that he was a white rapper that made it big.

Same way alot of the endorsments around tiger woods and lewis hamilton was they were making it big in sports dominated by non blacks.

*hope this didnt come accross racist.

I'd say it's certainly in the mix somewhere, and quite strongly.

There's been a number of 'rap' big hit records over the years, and plenty of them have been (in the sense of chart music) 'one hit wonders'.

There's one particular one hit wonder who is universally known, while the rest are not. It's probably the case that even your gran has heard of him. Guess which one?

After 5 years of Leeds I most probably wont be going in 2013. It's not just Eminem that's put me off, a washed-up character of his former self though he is, he alone is pretty harmless in the grand scheme of the fesitval. But when you put Eminem with the bad 2013 omens we've already had; bloody Boy Better Know, 1Extra Stage, the fact that Kasabian headlined this year, I'd say Reading & Leeds want a slice of the chav audience that V fest have. I'm not sticking around to see it turn into the squalid pit that V is, so unless the rest of the line-up is astounding (which we all know wont happen), I'm off to pastures greener; Glastonbury, Hop Farm, Latitude, Kendal, possibly even Download.

On a side note, I used to post here under the name "The Mean Bean", but earlier in the year some bugger gained control of my email address and I no longer know my log-in, so I created this new account. The reason for the new name is simple; I see you kids with your hippity-hoppity, dubbity steppy, beeping music that sounds like a man talking nonesense while R2-D2 has a seizure, and I wonder why nobody makes real music anymore, what happened to The Smiths? The Rolling Stones? The Beach Boys? Elvis? And... DAMMIT, YOU KIDS, GET OFFA MY LAWN!
