Not at all what I was expecting but - as we EOTR veterans know - it's always a gas gas gas. I've seen B&S a few times, last time when they curated ATP, and they are a brilliant live band and worthy headliners. Never seen Sigur Rós but always quite enjoyed their ethereal schtick so that'll be exciting. Of the other names I only know Palma Violets who I'm already seeing in Feb but feel sure they'll be great; Damien Jurado who is always good; and, er, that's it - so lots of new (to me) artists to investigate between now and then - and that's the way (uh huh uh huh) I like it. Thanks EOTR.

just to clarify, Sigur Ros at Latitude in 2008 was one of the most magical festival performances (and tbh sets anywhere) i have ever experienced. perfect, just hope its garden stage.

The last 2 years have had headliners I didn't really care about but a good undercard. Now they're booking headliners I actively dislike.

It may be time to give Latitude a try.

I haven't seen Sigur Ros live since they toured () and it was fantastic. Never seen them out-doors, so very much looking forward to whatever light-show they bring.

Not a big "post-rock" fan by any means, but they are a special band.

Belle & Sebastian have always been a favourite of mine and I've always felt they'd be a great headliner. Proper party band. Get a bit of a dance going.

I cite Sigur Ros at Latitude as being my all time number one musical experience........so to say I'm happy doesn't really cover it.

Also finally gotten around to listening to the John Murry album and that is seriously wonderful too - not much grabs me so much on first listen.

Belle and Seb are bloody good too.

King Khan and the Shrines should be a blast.....hopefully in the tent really, really, late.

Wanted to see Daughter at Latitude 2012 but was clashed out of possibility so that is good too.

And a few to investigate.........

I was due a good one....... been quite a few headliners the past few years that I admired but didn't really like (Mogwai, Beirut, Modest Mouse, Explosions in the Sky, and many more).....but I could not have imagined it would be this good!!!!

I hope that means more ambition in the future as well: Portishead and Nick Cave rather than Decemberists and Lampchop as headliners.

Sigur Ros are incredible live. Untitled 8 is the most intense piece of live music I've ever heard.

We need a band like Phantom Limb - look how well Alabama Shakes went down this year and IMHO Phantom Limb would better them.

Looking rather dull so far, so I'm holding off buying a ticket for now.

Really enjoying the Barr Brothers album, a very similar vibe to The Low Anthem but a bit more versatile.

That's a very varied list to be starting with - the "headliners" are a small part of the EOTR experience. Good start.
