Is it just 2nd stage that isn't clashing with maiden then, I thought all stages were supposed to be done for them starting?

Andy has confirmed on twitter only second stage will stop by the time Maiden start.

Thinking about it Young Guns then Mastodon then AIC then Jimmy Eat World then QOTSA then a bit of Enter Shikari then The Hives is a damn sweet schedule. I reckon Jimmy and QOTSA may clash by about 25 mins but hopefully one or the other will announce a tour and I'll just see part of their set and the full amount of the other.

I don't get the 2nd stage shut down. If they don't want any noise cross over then 3rd is far closer and more likely to cause it than 2nd.

Third is nowhere near loud enough to affect main stage... you can even hear main during quieter moments in songs on third.

F##k me! every band i want to see is on Saturday. Maiden,QOTSA,Motorhead,Alice in chains and Mastodon had already been announced, then UFO get added and now i find i'll miss the Hives and Jimmy Eat World.

Thats enough for Saturday now Andy, lets get some decent stuff on friday and sunday.

Seen Maiden live a few times, same with The Hives, so stuck about that one!

Both put on awesome shows.

QOTSA have been terrible live whenever I've seen them, especially at festivals...

Rammstein are the main reason why me and a few others are heading to Download this year for the first time, at Sonisphere they put Maiden in their place, big time (just ask Scottie!) and then I saw the Made in Germany tour which was even more amazing and this is coming from someone who doesn't speak German or is a big fan of Rammstein.

I honestly think Rammstein at Download will be one of the best festival moments ever seen at Donigton Park.

QOTSA were amazing at Glastonbury in 2011, it was like watching a different band compared to the twice I had seen at Leeds, I would go as far to say they were better at Glastonbury than Foo Fighters at R & L this year.
