08&09 it sold out.

Download is bigger than Reading.

But heading download back then, and not touring off the back of mezmerize and hypnotise which tbf they would have been touring arenas with.

Went through this the other day, even with them, they did 3 uk arena dates between 2001 and their split, 2 nottingham arena dates and 1 manchester arena date, the rest academy's. They never hit major arena status here, they sold bar less than what most subs at R&L will sell now and the crowd is much less their crowd.

Did it? I remember getting a coach tick + festival ticket pretty late on.

I think they usually sold out pre 2010 but slowly at leeds.

In fairness though the bill needs to try and attract more people as it is spread out over two sites and therefor has more tickets to sell. So from the point of view of ticket sales, R+L is bigger than Download, although neither site is as big on it's own.
