Id Love to be proved wrong but i really cant see Nick Cave to be popular enough with the majority of the Reading crowd anymore, definitely not as high as subbing, as much as he deserves it.

Would he accept/be booked as something like NME headliner alongside Alt J and Foals perhaps?

I've never really listened to Nick Cave, I've only heard Red Right Hand and Stagger Lee. Great songs though.

Nick Cave headlined Latitude so FR obviously have faith in the Bad Seeds. I know it's a different audience but I don't see Reading giving them anything worse than headline NME if they played Reading. I remember loads of people thought NIN couldnt sub Reading in 07 and yet they did and I would say Nick Cave is about as suitable for Reading as NIN were.. I def think Nick Cave will do Glasto in some form but would be nice if he hit up Reading also considering they are touring around then.

Let Love In and Murder Ballads are my two fave Nick Cave albums.

Latitude is a very very different audience to the R+L. They book poetry for Latitude, but wouldn't put that anywhere near R+L.

I remember NIN being a very popular sub in '07 even before that blistering performance. Also, they've got a very diff audience to Cave.
