Hi,

Provisionally planning for Pukkelpop 2014 after enjoying this year so much, last year we drove from Calais but does anybody know how much it would roughly cost for train transport from Rotterdam to Hasselt? Would this route be included in the free e-ticket?

If anyone could shed some light, it would be appreciated!

E-ticket only covers Belgium so probably best off looking at a return from Rotterdam to say, Antwerp. Then the E-ticket will cover Antwerp to Hasselt.

The cheapest way is to buy a return ticket from Rotterdam to Essen, the first station in Belgium (obviously being careful not to buy one to the other Essen that's in Germany...).

You don't have to get off there (and if you're on a fast train it won't stop anyway).

I went via Rotterdam this year and think it was about 18 for a single to Essen. As Trufflehound says, the train won't even stop there so just stay on until you get to Antwerp. I did have to change trains at Roosendaal (just on the Dutch border) so keep an eye out for that as it was by chance someone told me!

Next year Sziget (one the biggest festivals in Europe) will be the same weekend as Pukkelpop... sooo... Sziget, Lowlands, FM4 Frequency, Air Gampel, Highfield, Rock n Heim and Pukkelpop in the same weekend... I don't understnad why there are so many festivals this weekend in Central Europe and there are no major festivals on 8-9th august weekend... I think that this competitiveness will be bad for all of them... higher prices to book the bands and worse line-ups...

Looks like Arcade Fire are out of the running for a PP headline spot.

Playing in Winnipeg on August 14, and Washington DC on August 17. Can't really see them flying to Belgium and back in a 3-day window.
