We do occasional (very small scale) comedy shows in Newcastle.  Trust me, if we put out an email saying 'limited seats available' or 'last few tickets remaining' we've sold bugger all. 

Hit the nail on the head there! The alternative nights and clubs in Newcastle are super popular and have survived the Covid aftermath. Some of the ‘normie’ clubs (for want of a better word) have either ceased to exist or rebranded etc.   I’m 24 so coming to the end of my time in Chad’s weird little 18 - 24 group, but the idea that if I was born one year earlier my music taste and general outlook on music would be completely different is laughable. 

I personally doubt the much of the usual Tramlines crowd has ever heard of John Grant or Fat White Family, and will maybe recognise Spiritualized.

Maybe I'm out of touch but I think Sam Fender would play a small club in Zagreb for a solo show
